  1. By riding on though you could end up doing even more damage and ending up missing more than one GP Nothing new for fast Freddie , he's pulled that move more than once
  2. In my opinion Hancock should never of attempted to ride , I know it's the world championship but it was fairly obvious he wasn't in any fit state to do so .
  3. One thing I do like about the coverage is there are no gimmicks. No obligatory team talk / huddle shots , no team managers storming to the phone to have a rant at the ref , always thought that these were a bit contrived at times , trying to make it a bit more sexy or exciting.
  4. I haven't left a speedway meeting as disappointed and frustrated in a long time , in my opinion Berwick and the public were robbed of a win tonight. The conditions would have been no worse than they where when it was actually raining, the times in hts 13&14 where improving so I don't think that the track was the problem, it's my view that Glasgow didn't want to lose and where happy with the two points for the draw , I and plenty others have seen racing continue in far worse conditions than that track was in . A sad end to,what was a decent meeting that left a bitter taste in the mouth
  5. Depends which forecast you look at. Mine says rain from 6pm onwards
  6. Meat Loaf had two out of three , well The Bandits have six out of seven and I guess that ain't bad compared to recent teams we've been forced to track . If the weather behaves this has the makings of a decent meeting, and I think ( whisper it ) Berwick might sneak a win
  7. Can't complain about Wood's return tonight , he'll be a good signing for somebody
  8. Be interesting to see how Wood goes , he was quoted in the Speedway Star last week looking for a championship team
  9. Bring back Dave Norris for the extra studio guest or even Joe Screen
  10. Team GBs performance aside , it was actually a great meeting to,watch with some terrific racing . I never expected us to be up there challenging for the gold but I did think we'd perform better than we did , Cook & Lambert must be very disappointed with their own performances last night both of them never looked like even being able to compete . Well done to Poland on a deserved victory, as for us we're a long way behind and by the time we reach where Poland , Russia and the others are they'll have moved on .
  11. Surely Gary Flint can't be clerk of the course and team manager the the same time ? In an away match it's possible but it can't be done at Sheilfield on a Saturday night isn't there to much for him to do without have team manager duties too , added to that there bound to be a conflict of interests is there not ?
  12. Well I think that's what you call a meeting of two halves , The Bandits almost pulled off a bigger comeback than Lazarus, even after the 8-1 in ht 6 I still couldn't see us. doing very much . The Witches must be breathing a huge sigh of relief after almost throwing it away . Track conditions made passing difficult and it was always going to come down to who, gated in the nominated riders race unfortunately for Berwick it was Ipswich that made it and that as they say was that. The situation at reserve needss to be resolved if Lee or Ryan aren't coming back then something needs to be done on a permanent basis , also when does Joe Jacobs 28 days finish? Will Lewis be back ? Another in a long line of tough meetings next weekend I'd prefer to see 7 fully fledged Berwick riders lining up in black and gold
  13. And that's exactly what I'll be doing , it's just sometimes staying at home watching the Speedway with a bottle of something cold can seem a more preferable than an 80 mile round trip to Berwick to watch them lose a match that most likely wont be that great
  14. Stay at home and watch the World Cup , or come to Berwick and watch The Bandits? No contest I'll be on the terraces in my usual spot watching The Bandits . Just like a marriage you support Berwick for better or worse only with Speedway there's no divorce. As others have said it looks highly unlikely well se a Bandits win but as Jimmy Greaves once said " it's a funny old game "
  15. Not really surprised with the score, the only positive thing to say is that at least there where no injuries
  16. Back in the day when you could do practice starts without helmets , they turned the caps around to stop the blowing off
  17. Easy home win I'd say just hope all the riders stay safe
  18. Bandits Facebook page reporting that there's no serious injury to Jye, just heavy bruising good news after what looked a pretty heavy fall
  19. Very hard to come up with any positives from last night , the performances from Kev & David apart it was a very disappointing night with the injury to to Jye just compounding the misery,. I'm not sure what was wrong with Danny but he seemed disinterested particularly in ht 12 , Barker slowing down to allow Coty pass shows how bad it was . It was always going to be a tough night but TBH right from the off we never looked like we where going to win , when you lose a 1-5 in ht 2 the signs aren't great , but come the next meeting I'll be there cheering on the team , as Brian Cox once sai " Things can only get better " can't they ?
