  1. Is this the end of the season as we know it ? Not with a bang but with a whimper !
  2. Rye House to win , but by how much is the big question , 16 points is only 4 5-1s and Berwick have a tendancy to lose 1-5s in Hts 13 &15 ,especially away from home , no MPT this time or Luke Bowen for Berwick so it could be close overall come the end of the meeting
  3. Certainly not the best meeting of the season by any means , one or two decent races on a track that seemed to cause a few riders problems Vissing in particular looked like he was struggling . Great performance from Liam Carr , main talking point was Mr Gay's failure to disqualify Ricky Wellls in the rerun of ht 13 for failing to race , and also his decision in ht 15 was a bit strange from the back straight where I was he clearly to his own rider out , obviously thinking it was a Berwick rider outside him . The crowd was very disappointing for what is in effect a local derby , I won't be at the match v Somerset so I hope we can prevail vs The Rockets or that could be my final match of the season
  4. That's only 4 5-1s , with the way Berwick lose heat advtages at the end of meetings it could be close , unless we have MPT as a guest again
  5. Doesn't matter weather covers are down or not it has to stop raining first before they can lift them and racing can start
  6. It was 20:45 on the clock in my car when I left Shielfield , not long after the last ht
  7. 14 Points from Craig Cook last night proves that point wrong
  8. Well that was depressingly predictable , on a track that provided very little opportunity for passing The Bandits where done in at the tapes in almost every ht , no matter how hard they tried or where they searched it seemed there was very little grip out there for them to use . Big cheers to Craig Cook for a fantastic ride in ht 13 , to make things worse the news that the SGP was cancelled made my mood even worse as I didn't have that to watch when I got home . Another tough match ahead of us next Saturday and another home defeat perhaps
  9. 18 yrs ? How many years where the clubs in separate leagues ? That's a bit like saying Carlisle Unt haven't beaten Man Unt
  10. How many of the tickets have been taken up by corporate sponsors who can't be arsed to turn up ?
  11. Another tough fixture for Berwick , if we want to extend the season we need to win the tie
  12. Fairly common practice in football ( or it used to be ) not to allow season ticket holders into cup matches
  13. With no T/R in the cup this is going to be a tale of the two away legs , the team that performs the better away from home will most likely go through
  14. On last nights showing this meeting should be a comfortable win for the Rebels
  15. Well that was a bit of a mauling from the Tigers , with some tough meetings on the horizon I cant same I'm too optimistic about our chances in them after that display , Liam Carr apart there's not many of the team that can hold their heads up tonight . I cant understand why Berwick riders kept looking for a wide line that clearly wasn't there .
  16. Now there's a rarity theses days , no guests & no R/ R
  17. Good to have a full team again ,onwards and upwards
  18. Just pointing out to the poster that population is there , Berwick are neve going to match big city team I realise that , but I'm sure there's always room for a few more on Saturday night , short of physically dragging folks in off the street I'm not sure how you do that , as a previous member mention it's not just at Berwick where low crowds are a problem , the whole sport is in decline and has been for a few years now
