  1. The rules that were voted in allow the signing of Hall! Why should a couple of bloke's opinions on the management committee be allowed to block what the whole eague has decided is fair? If there's an issue surrounding previously established PL riders dropping down, then it should be changed in the rules and looked at in the AGM in the winter. Not halfway through the season, creating different rules for different teams.
  2. One of the riders that they offered a job to was funny
  3. Surely it's simple: if the signing is within the rules then it should be allowed. That's what rules exist for, and none of this 'in the best interests of the sport' nonsense that is purely a couple of people's opinions.
  4. Now confirmed that Hall can't ride because of the average he achieved in the 2004 CL season!!!! Yet Drury points out that the rule book only uses averages attained from 2011 onwards, regardless of the fact that I'm pretty sure the CL didn't even use averages then, it was gradings! This feels like Craig Cook part 2 but maybe the BSPA can brush the lower profile case under the carpet...
  5. I didn't realise the age limit was different for non-NL fixtures. So is it 16?
  6. Just watch the NL boys beat Davey & Etheridge!! Also blobby, why isn't Lawlor allowed to ride?
  7. How so? If the Scorpions sign Holub in future they will save 4 team building points yet in reality they haven't lost out on any now because Lyager is effectively replacing Holub as the 7 point man and Toft replaces Poole/Klindt. On another note, a good double move to strengthen the team!
  8. Thanks guys, so my letter of admission should suffice. I'll have to dig it out haha.
  9. Their NL averages this season across all competitions: Ritchings 9.05 & Greenwood 7.45.
  10. So student admission requires an NUS card and a letter? What's this letter all about? I have an NUS card, but what else will I need to produce? Any help appreciated please.
  11. Does this really improve the team? At the start of the season, Greenwood was probably the better option but he's had an indifferent start to the season yet Ritchings has been brilliant in the NL. Plus Ritchings is dialled in to the Ipswich track now whereas Greenwood has to learn a new track. Even if it comes off, as baldyman says you're only looking at 1 or 2 points a meeting more. It strikes me that Ritchings wasn't the problem here.
  12. Whilst Newman is injured and in a heat leader position on a 7.24 average, can Poole have a guest up to his average or does it have to be another EDR?
  13. I pointed this out also and just got shot down.
  14. Thanks for the reminder R & R. Janowski £20 more. Lindgren £10 more.
  15. He's nowhere near the talent potential of his suster's bro but you don't hit scores like 10+1 if there's no talent there at all. I can see him developing into a good standard NL rider, given time. He still very young remember.
  16. That was a truly outstanding meeting put on by Scunthorpe and the 16 riders. It was thoroughly entertaining throughout and a fantastic race track!!
  17. I thought Ellis had a continental meeting at the weekend, but I may be wrong. And yes Phil, Jason Pipe is Buxton's manager.
  18. So clubs can come to gentleman's agreements regardless of the rules. Hmmm... So the NL takes priority from now on. It also conveniently means that Bewley will stay at reserve longer.
  19. What's the explanation for sometimes PL taking preference but sometimes NL?
  20. The thing with the KL team is their strength is at second string and reserve, but they came up against a team with the best second strings and reserves in the league! The PL has really helped Bailey to kick on this year and Kinsley is very good around Lynn. I wouldnt criticise Stokes either. But I agree with the comment on Greaves, and I wonder whether being removed from the pressure of the PL would be a help for him. Campos is there because he's a good leader for team on a personal lever and it's not like the team is full of oldies tbf! Cupitt, is a strange one. He clearly has talent and got some expert advice over the winter and I keep thinking he'll kick on but I'm still waiting. Nevertheless time is on his side.
