  1. So he has been 'promoted' to the top table because nobody likes him? I know many feel everybody connected to Speedway is somewhat masochistic but that would be rather strange... Plus - why would Chris care? Unless you're hinting he is staying....
  2. Won't it be Lemon that has to sign it off now??
  3. You forgot that some of the passengers are attacking the wooden hull with pickaxes
  4. I'm going for a lay down as I'm agreeing with you again
  5. Have seen this suggestion made 2 or 3 times It just doesn't make any sense! If he wanted to be involved he wouldn't be selling Ipswich
  6. Not often in the last few months that I have agreed with therefused but I do on this one It would need a change in the regs to enable it It's not impossible it could change - after all there hasn't been this situation occur before It depends on what the intentions of the promoters were and if the regulations align with their requirements
  7. Perhaps there will be some form of shared income plan - if not the race for 2nd will be thrilling!
  8. Good on you for putting faith in your own given you were the only team that could've picked Cairns instead
  9. You're right they are not needed if its a cost covered hobby or perhaps even low level semi professional Keep going as it is and it won't be long before that point is reached Many competent riders will simply give it up leaving us struggling to even fill the dwindling number of teams we have now When it's the odd track running once a month like the Grasstrack scene perhaps you will be satisfied...
  10. Thanks for this unofficial announcement that we can expect an announcement which of course could just be announcing when to expect the announcement
  11. Be careful Steve there are laws against online hate speech these days
  12. Or like Steve Worral you will walk away to concentrate on that job/business because Speedway is no longer worth it and the race to the bottom accelerates There has to be an ambition and drive to make a top league sustainable or the sport in the UK will be over a a serious sport Easier said than done yes, but rarely is something worthwhile easy
  13. I wonder if the centre forward has to provide a ball and the goalkeeper the net in professional football I know that Speedway is gradually continuously dumbing down but come on
  14. Things have hit rock bottom when even Simon Lambert isn't the answer
  15. If no one would listen to him from within why would they appoint him to run things independently....
  16. Indeed - I've even known one time where a rider took such a knock to the left ankle that it caused so much pain and confusion it made him limp on the right one It's truly amazing the lengths they go to sometimes to entertain us. Hang on he didn't - he pulled out of the meeting instead
  17. My understanding is that the links are via the supporters club (who should be commended for tireless efforts over many years) I asked similar questions when it looked like Buster was taking over Ultimately the funds are there to assist with club costs so whoever is in control can request For example the need to replace the air fence this season would vert likely be the type of expenditure that would be contributed to
  18. And in what way is that Speedway's problem??
  19. There needs to be some protection in place to cover this situation If a change is made it should be the reduced average that is available
  20. So basically - shut up, turn up and pay up No thanks Make your choice - accept the consequences
