  1. The play off dates would be logged in the International calender and priority established accordingly
  2. This would be the type of punter that would attend once and then probably never again I'd say the chances of becoming the desired regular fan would be increased significantly watching Emil as opposed to Simon Unfortunately I accept the cost of attracting more of the Emil type quality is beyond almost all of the current clubs
  3. Looks like we will need 5 man teams with a limit set at around 20 then....
  4. That's what happened with Victor P at Edinburgh - the regs simply state 6 meetings and no longer 3 home/3 away....
  5. So what happens if the sport manages to release "Chris Louis's grip on the current folly" (sic) and we have the rider list outlined in the BV72 example The likes of BV Ippo Sheffield and Leicester will still have better crowds and backing and will hoover up the top 10 of that select band unless there is complete rider control They will also attract the top emerging talent whenever it becomes available The cream will always rise
  6. May as well go completely amateur and make it the "£10 sport" that lots used to spout on about incessantly until recently
  7. Anybody seriously suggesting Simon Lambert is a better option than Emil Sayfutdinov needs to have their medication checked......
  8. And what if their qualification position dictates they get the Monday first leg? Or in the event of another rain off? If they can't commit to run within the set guidelines then they should forfeit the place
  9. No need to be confused Baldbloke Last stint was 6 meetings - 2 home and 4 away Check out the current regs and unlike at that time it is now 6 meetings to achieve a new average and there is no longer the need for a minimum home or away split Therefore if/when he returns it would(should) be on those results......
  10. Becker being named at 2 has RR incoming at the last moment written all over it.......
  11. Nice 2013 commemorative honoring designer Christopher Ironside This was originally planned to be the definitive design at the time of decimalisation but was dropped for the Britannia design used until 2008
  12. No great loss for Oxford - has been a while since he has been able to turn up the heat in Ipswich enough to cause any problem...
  13. I don't disagree with positive aspects of the heat itself - drama, tension and a win on the line Where it is wrong is down to it creating an extra match point which isn't available in other matches
  14. It's a professional sport and needs to act accordingly It may not be the most serious of breaches but once you start letting things slide it becomes thd thin end on the wedge
  15. Also onr of those over 7 was inflated at reserve and then injured giving much better ongoing returns........
  16. Then these new people would love the super heat and not give a Sh!t whether either team gets 0 1 or 2 points and so at least give the scoring the sporting integrity the die hards care about (or should care about anyway) The 2 are not mutually exclusive....
  17. Just 0.09 between Adam and Dan in the rolling averages If desired it is very much in the clubs hands to choose who is at reserve for September They would (or should) know what scores will be dropping out of the 20 meeting sample for each rider and therefore the swing required in the upcoming matches for a switch to happen We know it is done - Leicester did exactly that to keep RR for Becker in the 2nd position therefore allowing Fricke to still take an extra ride
  18. Of course it matters if you want sporting integrity Gladitors and WWE are NOT sport - they are contrived entertainment set in a sporting enviroment If not having a draw is the desired outcome then you should get zero match points for losing the super heat
  19. The extra race is all well and good but the extra point isn't......
