  1. How does that fit with the proposed new 1.5 conversion rate?? Surely assessments should fall in line with that
  2. Cross Doyle off the list - confirmed back at Swindon
  3. I will reserve judgement until we see the full 1-7 and hope that you are wrong (putting it down to your natural negativity towards all things Buster)
  4. All these names from the past being bandied about - we may as well use Chris and John and go full on retro
  5. Would doubt he would want to even if he was on our shortlist Think we would be better to look forward rather than back
  6. In all seriousness I dont think the purse strings will be stretching to even 1 rider of the level quipped about let alone 3 or 4!
  7. There is the old saying 'The more I practise the luckier I get' Although no exactly the scenario I think it fits in this case in that whatever anybody thinks of Poole and Matt Ford no other team/promoter prepares quite like Poole/Ford Hence the appearence of Poole always being very lucky when often there is probably more to it than just luck
  8. So far then we have heat leaders of Doyle Woffy and Fast Freddie Not a bad start
  9. There is a regulation that states tgat an average MAY be reassessed if a rider has not ridden in the league for more than 3 seasons There is one that states that those riders NEW to the league will be assessed in line with their ability and experience However nowhere is there one that states those riders in the GP (now or previous period) who have an existing average within the stated timscales will also be reassessed
  10. Would you care to post a link to the regulation that confirms that?
  11. I think you are right although if they really wanted to limit doubling more quickly then the new conversion would apply It does seem rather silly for example that Chris Harris will have a lower average in the Championship than the Premiership
  12. Lets hope so - isnt that what we all want for every club? Of course regardless of anything else a club attracting more fans will be able to offer better terms than one only pulling in 3 or 400
  13. For the last 3 years the NDL elligibility rules wouldve meant Brits only - the entry criteria had been amended
  14. Those hoping the Aussies in their team also qualify for the reduction are just perpetuating the attitude of self interest and manipulation that has been one the main problems on the sport for too long
  15. Ive seen nothing to suggest it wont stay at 38 You suggestion of a gradual increase certainly has some merit though
  16. Im sure everyone will call them out as Glasgow and Somerset
  17. If the averages still roll over 20 meetings then the natural progression from 38 to 42 team total will not be seen at the first set of averages but gradually throughout the year By the end of the year every rider should increase by around 0.6 to in effect stand still at the same level they started
  18. But would he meet the rules now and be allowed to return to the 3rd tier if/when his avearge drops? The rules of entry were tightened a while ago which wouldve ruled out most of those from years back It should be that criteria that applies We all know the AGM notes are not detailed enough to be sure of a the meaning of the full regulation Re Schlein - the same applies. Would he meet the criteria now to return to the 3rd tier (ignoring average restrictions) Thats how I would determine who qualifies
  19. No he shouldnt The reduction is meant to assist British riders If there isnt already then there should be a caveat added to ensure any possible loophole is closed
  20. So long as Buster doesnt insist they go to Foxhall I dont care either way
  21. Sometimes things just dont work out He never really fitted in - didnt seem to mix fully in the pits and certainly didnt connect with the fans. Turned down various offers of help with machinery when he looked very slow Think it was more that his injuries were much worse than he let on that was the problem Probably it was only that options were limited that meant he wasnt shipped out earlier. Whilst his eventual departure was farcical to say the least it was definitely the right decision If he is fully fit Im sure he will do a decent job back where he feels most comfortable
