  1. It was very much about home form We were in the situation where Danyon and Connor were averaging a very similar total (just under 4) but with home and away form in complete contrast Connor 2.5 at home and over 4 away Danyon 4.5 at home and under 2 away With Danyon out and his replacement unlikely to score home or away Garcia was seen as a more solid option at Foxhall to protect vital home wins This so far he has done (and few wouldve been confident Connor wouldve scored as Coty did) so I would say it has justified the decision
  2. Rain expected 11-3 and 5-7 then a dry evening (accuweather) So long as the rain isnt monsoon like that should mean all systems go Fingers crossed
  3. That was the KOCup J Re the OP - would expect some more news around the last week of September
  4. You not seen much of col's posting icicle? That one was one of the more eloquent
  5. Too young to have any significant memories of him but one of the long list of local riders that made the club at ipswich what it was as it established itself Perhaps overshadowed by those higher profile stars but still every bit a part of a team - the type of rider that was (and still is) vital to making speedway work
  6. About £2250 I think the figure was at Foxhall
  7. Ben had an insane amount of natural talent and was a super quick rider What he lacked was discipline and application and perhaps the self belief Wonderful to watch in full flow but equally frustrating when it wasnt going so well
  8. Thats disappointing Always a good value visitor is Cook Mind you I wont be there either
  9. Is the "Danish lift" taught in the training schools over there? Even the mild mannered ones like Morten suffer with that
  10. That Glasgow meeting could be pivotal to play off qualification.....
  11. Lakeside changed their mind about agreeing to the date apparently
  12. Its a sad day when the truth is an incovenience Also rather crass to blame those fans - any problems were self inflicted by the club. Any responsibility lays solely with the club
  13. I will just be happy for Danny to be able to ride for anyone - even Peterborough
  14. RIP Bob - lets hope there a nice new tractor waiting for him
  15. Should be a comfortable win for the Panthers despite an upturn in Witches fortunates over the last few weeks since the team changes The big question mark for Boro is the fact that it is the first home meeting for 3 weeks which could cause an issue depending on the track prep That said I dont expect even a point for the Witches ah well at least Bruv will be on the winning side either way
  16. Definitely Perhaps because often the view of a good race is one of their teams riders making a pass which is more likely to happen at their home track
  17. Looks to be running into top form now that he doesnt need to keep an eye on his average to help changes fit...... Bruv was on the spanners for him tonight and is again Sunday - he can forget those taps just for once if he likes
  18. And clubs wonder why fans just keep on walking away and not coming back
  19. No problem with that as he has not arrived (broken down? en route?) A little extra rest/recuperation time now for him
