  1. There was still 5 yards between Riss and the fence that BWD chose not to use - instead he misjudged the gap and he hit Riss PS - Im enjoying the rosy glow through my tinted specs
  2. Scott was due to guest for Ipswich on Thursday (now Lawson)
  3. Seems that there have been a few prickly responses to fans disappointments expressed on various social media following the Glasgow defeat Quite a few 'could you do better' 'you try being no1 next year' type comments
  4. I have seen that video this morning and quite happy to retract my original comment I would now put the move in Cat 1 (brave) and agree the decision was not clear cut Indeed I would concede its 50/50 (but no more ) It just shows how difficult it can be for a referee paticularly with no replay Our angle on the back straight opposite the starting gate narrows the width perception so to us it looked that BWD tried for a gap that wasnt there (which isnt the case) The video angle of course loses the depth perception and you dont get the feel of just how far back BWD came from - he closed by 15m+ off bend 4 to the start line Riss was on a natural line and ahead - BWD saw a gap (which started very big) and went for it carrying significantly more speed A pure racing incident Still think the decision was correct - just
  5. Yep - as well as our own thats 3 guests too over recent matches that have been struck down Add Cam Heeps to the list with a knee injury last night as well
  6. Terrible news for Scott and the Panthers - get well soon fella
  7. Hope theres no longer term issue for Scott Would be a huge blow for Boro if he was out for the end of the season due to this
  8. Its an off night for both leagues Just typical that both leagues have decided to use it and managed to arrange fixtures that have a doubling up clash!
  9. All sounds perfectly plausible until you factor in 'The Ipswich Way" which is to make hard work of even the easiest situation and generally grab defeat from the jaws of victory
  10. If it had to be done it shouldve been before the cut off and a permanent replacement named
  11. Good luck to Connor Great attitude and approach Didnt get on with Foxhall but has plenty of improvement in him and that will be helped by having a home track he feels more comfortable at
  12. Odds certainly are stacking up against us Will take an heroic effort - one or two need produce very special performances
  13. Voluntarily going with 'no facility' should not be an option Dropping Phillips should mean they should have go with 6 riders only and run 3 heats with only 1 rider
  14. Next years Championship may well be closer to this years National League with the Premiership closer to this years Championship......
  15. What if the cost was Poole closing? Although I do tend to agree - need 3 or 4 of the better supported Championship sides to join the top league and a 2nd tier at a much reduced limit to enable those with 300 - 500 attending to be more sustainable as well as re-establishing a true differential The longer term aim should be to strengthen the top tier if finances can be developed (league sponsor/TV)
  16. This has the look of a cracking match Two great sides both with play off hopes intact (just!) Wish we could do a Massif road trip to this one
  17. An obsession with wanting a fair and consistent application of the regulations cant be a bad thing IMO How many times do people moan about 'manipulation' 'special dispensation' 'in the interests of the sport' and ask for an independant head Well guess what an independant head would not have agreed a facility Just because the match 'doesnt really matter' is no reason to ignore the set structure
