Polish Friday meetings are not on GP weekends

Not that there was anything wrong with last years.Tough job but I suppose someone has to do it. Amazing how sexism differs from the UK to Eastern Europe.

Saw UEFA this week were moaning that peak audiences for footballs Champions League matches that they have sold exclusively to BT sport were only reaching 200,000 ,not giving sponsors the exposure they desired,and that they may have made a mistake selling simply to the highest bidder,Think this may be the case for speedway with less people watching the GP,SWC than ever on TV,although BSI probably had less options on TV rights than UEFA.

And to think I believed Terry Russell when he said its a 5 month build ,can't believe the negativity,it will be ready in March !

Me personally I didn't see Wolves being contenders last year and likewise this year,I feel there are at least 4 better teams than Wolves but only time will tell.

Unfortunately buying tickets from Polish websites has been challenging for many years

Seems they are following the World Cups lead of seeding the home team directly to the final. Hate it in the World Cup hate it here. 3 teams have to scrap it out to qualify while the home team get seeded, ridiculous !

Even if riders are moving at the tapes ?

Similar to me I have used Travel Plus in the past but now do my own travel plans. Feel sorry for the single travellers on their tours , £50 per night single supplement is absolutely scandalous,the Warsaw weekend would cost me £639 . You can get a single room, 4 star hotel in Warsaw for that weekend for £60 a night.

We can have all the bells and whistles we want but unless young people are exited by the racing there is nothing that be done to keep them coming

I'm pretty typical of most on this forum as I have my parents to thank for introducing me to speedway as a child. I've posted this 3 times previously but I was hooked on speedway by the noise, the speed and the smell. Fast forward 40 years most of the noise has mostly gone,you hardly ever get a whiff of the smell,with only the speed remaining. With the noise also went the atmosphere,the sport lost its soul. I'm not surprised kids of today are bored at the speedway because as a 44 year old adult I'm mostly bored too. Oh for the days of a rasping GM engine ,the smell of methanol,and a crackling derby atmosphere.Sadly they are never too return,making the sport a bit of a busted flush.

With the double point rule you cannot track the same 2 star riders in the last 3 heats of the meeting to turn a ten point deficit into a two point win with 3 successive five ones. Seen it done a few times Hamill / Hancock , Correy / Ermolenko were the best exponents. It made a mockery of team speedway when 2 guys could have 6 rides each and win a meeting on their own.

Think you will get your wish this year .to quote Buster Chapman in the Speedway Star " 4 riders 4 laps best team wins " Seems the new broom will sweep the tactical ride into history. maybe

Nice to see someone who can't be bothered to attend speedway meetings any more take the moral high ground

On a similar note where do Wolves stand when they ride 6 away meetings on a Friday with Max Clegg also riding for a Friday night track at Edinburgh

December and already were talking about guests. Add to this the certain injuries and you can't see next season being any different from the last, a malaise of guests and rider replacements,the biggest thing that turns people off the sport.
