The Speedway GP has always been run on quotas.While there are 2 GP's in Sweden there will always be 2 Swedes in the field, its always been that way. The worrying thing with temporary tracks {Cardiff being the exception} is they start off with a lot of hype and blusto but invariably fizzle out after a few years.Copenhagen,Gothenberg,Berlin,Stockholm Olympic stadium,Tampere,Auckland and Hamar have all come and gone.What will be the future of Warsaw ?,will the Pole's return after last year ?,What sort of attendance will they get at Melbourne if the championship is over. I think people try it once and realise its largely not as good as speedway on a permanent track and that's why interest drops off.

I think this may be the line trotted out to the good people in Gorzow,be careful other tracks are interested,don't wait too long,it sounds similar to the case when Man City signed Raheem Sterling.Liverpool kept telling them there were other interested parties interested when in fact there wasn't and in effect were bidding against themselves.Have not heard any rumours in the Polish press of tracks who have openly stated they would prepared to have a GP,most clubs seem to have money problems or have had GP's in the past and decided they wanted out.
