You think the track at Warsaw was up to GP standard ?

Peterborough V Glasgow 24/6/15
New Science replied to Noodles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thankfully Sky have just shown 2010 play off final Poole vs Coventry. Now that was a great match ! The fact that virtually all the speedway they show on speedway gold is pre 2011 tells its own story. Now we have Pearson weekly trying to put lipstick on a pig ,browbeating us that we are watching great speedway every week. -

Pearson loved it -
The big boys don't throw their toys when the track is up to standard.

The Most Secret Speedway Meeting Ever
New Science replied to Grand Central's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Expect Cardiff to go without a hitch with an unprecedented 3 weeks to allow plenty of attempts to get a track fit for riding, with an added test meeting thrown in.Expect pats on the back all round, until we get to Horsens,a much stiffer test,a 1st time temporary track with no roof or Melbourne where its likely the track curators will get the usual one shot and not 3 weeks grace as Cardiff. -
Got it half right at least. Thanks Jason for preventing an absolute annihilation at the leagues bottom club. Big match on Monday,If Swindon should turn us over on then we might as well have the end of season fireworks ! Got it half right at least. Wolves V Lakeside Hammers 25/05/15
New Science replied to ShropWolf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well done to Wolves for updating the latest team news on their site. Although after all those changes don't think I would still be billing it as a "blockbuster bank holiday of speedway" as they are. -

Won't be called off Usual diehards will be there plus a few more as its bank holiday,no financial loss £18 to get in not £17 agree with the last 2 points home 5-1's for fun against a mediocre premier league side -

Tampere Gp
New Science replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Another bad weekend for speedway,2 events into the championship and we haven't had a track yet fit for the national league let alone the world championship. This is the sole responsibility of the organisers to ensure that the venues they choose have the ability to put on tracks that are suitable for World Championship events. I'm afraid the fans are now wiseing up and are showing that after last year at Tampere they are not prepared to pay top dollar to watch any old rubbish. If this carries on the GP series wont last too much longer.Listening to Pearson last night I would be much more interested with his real observations driving back last night rather than the endless positivity he trots out week in week out on screen. -

Warsaw Gp Saturday 18th April
New Science replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
By the time we get to Cardiff I expect Paul Bellamy to be in charge at BSI,Ole Olsen and his company to be in charge of track building,Phil Morris to still be race director,Armando and his cronies at the FIM unchanged, still passing off Ole's tracks whatever there state, the PZM free to stage further events, the FIM jury unchanged,Jim Laurence to still be refereeing at GP level and no riders receiving a suspension. AKA business as usual ! Heads must roll SAYS Phil Rising don't hold your breath ! -

Its been a while since this statement was made but in the passing 3 weeks the indefensible has been tried to be defended by all parties involved and it looks very much like if we can get to Tampere then no heads will roll and it will be business as usual -

My Sincere Apologies, Just got in and was not up to speed on the story. I thought you were referring to Tai Woffinden as the Australian riding for GB. Please accept my apologies ! I'll take a hundred lines , "read before you post" I totally agree with you the situation is ridiculous ! -

Wolves Vs Pirates 04/may/2015
New Science replied to lino wolf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good win for Wolves over a weakened Poole team.As for the racing well in the first 9 heats there wasn't any, just a trapping contest, even Wolves best pairing of Lindgren and PK couldn't make an inch on Dakota North when he trapped.Three Fifths of the meeting gone and nothing to see !.Thankfully after heat 9 the racing did improve slightly when in started raining and we did eventually get our first genuine outside pass of the meeting in heat 15.If that's the best 2 top teams can serve up on a Bank holiday,on a well prepared track,in front of a good crowd for 18 quid than speedway is in trouble. After waiting a few years for the product to improve I'm now resigned to the fact that it won't,same can be said for the atmosphere which is like a morgue week in week out. After 28 years of going every week to Monmore it might be the time to think about doing something else on a Monday night. -

National Speedway Stadium Opening Tickets Now On Sale
New Science replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Just don't see the need to be selling tickets eleven months in advance, surely November / December when the main infrastructure of the track and main stand are in place would be better. Would you book a hotel room before it had been built ? -

Not uncommon these days. I have already booked, and paid for, a ballet at the Royal Albert Hall in July 2016. Booked and paid for three NFL games at Wembley in October 2015 in October 2014. Its a bit unusual for a venue which hasn't been built yet.
