o.k all speedway promoters are not listening to the fans.This forum has shown that you ask 10 speedway fans what they want you get 10 different answers ! Imagine the chairman of the BSPA is reading this, what is your feedback that promoters are not listening to ?

In effect without Iversen,Ward and Sayfitudinov they are not not in the top 10 .Lindgren only gets a pick every year because he is Swedish and perversely being Australian will be the reason why Batchelor will not get one.

Since all the promoters are doing such a bad job, maybe you can enlighten us with the solutions to save Peterborough and speedway as a whole.

Don't think Batchelor is garbage but there is some merit that if you can't get in the top 8 this year with Ward and Iversen missing you probably don't deserve a pick !

Are you not getting a bit bored of all these 'ommerings' ?

With 2 GP's in Sweden next year there will be 2 Swedes in the series.

As a Wolves supporter it does bother me and many others who go week in week out !

Posted on this forum last year, that after attending last years GP at Stockholm that without the first year surge of novelty travelling support that it would be difficult to improve last years attendance ! At between 10-15,000 there must be some concern whether this GP is sustainable .

Not sure why Eurosport not once, but 3 times have the nerve to tell us bare faced lies, when we can see the reality with our own eyes.

With that analogy I wonder what we are all worrying about ? If its that mickey mouse, maybe you should enter the World Championships, a cool £250,000 for this years winner ! At £35 to get in and £4.50 a pint there are much cheaper places to have a booze up than at the darts.Although having a beer is part of the night (not exclusive to darts, go to Twickenham for example) it overlooks the fact there any large numbers who follow the darts all over the country not just as a booze up but as a fan of the game,me included. There is no workable plan I'm afraid !

Firstly darts is Britain's fastest growing sport,16 weeks of Premier League Darts average attendance 7,5000.World championship will sell 40,000 tickets over 15 days.There is also a further 7 major tournaments all on TV and have sponsors queueing up to get on board.This years 20/20 cricket had a total attendance of 704,205(a record) average attendance 5,772. plus a 24,000 sell out for the final ,Sorry but however much you don't believe these 2 sports are on the up and have left speedway behind for dead. I've asked this question before but please tell us where this speedway is that's better than its ever been particularly in the Elite League ?

Not sure what this dependence on local derbies is ? In the Elite League Birmingham had 6 home matches which were local derbies against Wolves,Cov and Leicester and they still ended up closing the doors. If my maths is out its not by much !

I like the positivity but at present,Birmingham,Wolverhampton,Coventry and Cradley added together doesn't come to 4000 fans

The problem you have that in the eyes of their fans the product served up in Rugby League,20/20 cricket and particularly darts has never been better you cannot say this of modern day speedway.Also the atmosphere at 20/20 and yet again darts is terrific, something else you can't say about a night at league speedway !

Difficult to count watching the TV but there didn't look to be more than 400 standing outside.

I think BSI will want definitely want Smolinski on board if they plan to stage a GP in Germany.Feel Darcy is now screwed now that Doyle has qualified.If 1 Swede makes the top 8 then the wildcards will be Iversen,Hampel,Smolinski plus 1 Swede. In a Perfect world Iversen,Emil,Ward and 1 of either MJJ or Kildermand.

Not enough to make it viable

Looking at tonight's crowd not sure that even a new stadium is the silver bullet for Belle Vue,are bricks and mortar going to be enough to entice another 1000 people to regularly attend speedway at Belle Vue.

That was my original point we have World U21 champions,World Cup winners and GP winners waiting in the wings but someone without any of these honours will jump the queue just because of their nationality .

Unfortunately your first chance is your best chance ,particularly at new venues !
