A decent track is irrelevant if you're not prepared to go because there are a couple of rules you don,t agree with ! Unless an independent body is prepared to come in and buy stadiums off greyhound companies and then refurbish them as single use speedway stadiums then nothing will change as far as facilities go.

Don't agree I'm afraid, what we have seen at Bydgoszcz ,Gorzow ,Mallila and Torun this year are chalk and cheese to what we have seen at Cardiff,Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Prague may be a permanent track but all fans know how bad the speedway is there even after the endless promises we get year on year that it will improve Daugavils was not on the list I was looking at and Riga,well It may be permanent but at present has not proven to be capable of holding a speedway meeting let alone a GP.

The worrying thing about this proposed list is the amount of temporary tracks now possibly in the series.I know its sexy to have them in big cities and I don't mind having a few but looking at that list there is probably too many, only Mallila,Gorzow,Torun and Krsco that will be held on proper permanent tracks. These tracks might not be in the sexy cities but overwhelmingly provide significantly best racing .

It was obvious how a Polish home crowd would see the decision,Kasprazak hurtling towards the pits didn't exactly diffuse the situation,then the crowd were cheering when they saw Nicki's reaction to the exclusion, he would have been aware of this.So after Nicki was booed as he came to the tapes for run off he decided to milk his victory for 3rd thus further antagonising the home crowd even further.Riot police lined the front of the pits and I saw 1 Polish fan lead away so it came as no surprise to see Pedersen roundly booed on the podium.

Good to see the Belle Vue management prominent at Torun this weekend on probably another fact finding mission .Was only sitting 6 seats away from messrs Gordon and Morton,although we had a wrought iron fence between,as close as the VIP as I'm likely to get unfortunately.They were tucking into the popcorn,probably testing out a local supplier.

Although the Elite league has plummeted in standard from what I see the Premier League is the one league where the standard of riders is pretty much the same as it was 5 years ago.Not sure how that accounts to the BSPA presiding over a worsening product ?

Not sure what this obsession with local derbies is ? Birmingham had 6 home matches which were local derbies in the Elite league and ended up closing.

It seems from these posts that unless that all the planets align (right race night, right league, right team , right opposition, right weather) that people are not going to watch speedway at Peterborough. In the real world no club has the perfect situation but if they want speedway to continue that much they have to get on with it !

How has Horton screwed the fans?,my understanding is that without him there would have been no speedway at Peterborough this year.

My point is on the Elite League 2015 thread we already have suggested ,1 big league,re introduce the KO cup, 13 heats + 2nd half, stick to 15 heats, promotion/relegation ,single race nights, 2 race nights, weekend speedway, squad system, fortnightly speedway, weekly speedway, scrap playoffs , scrap double points ,bin the GP riders, get the GP riders back, ditch the fastrack, keep the fastrack. What are promoters supposed to do ? all valid views but they can't implement them all can we !

It sounds slim pickings when potentially the best match of the season is a hastily arranged friendly against a made up select team.
