Plymouth Gladiators 2023

That would disturb all the millionaires down there. Hope he got himself a really good silencer. -
I was at a Chargers match at Oxford, and there were a lot, lot more than 300 there. I would estimate close to 1,000..….

CHAMPIONSHIP PLANS FOR ’23

I really wouldn't mind Castrol R40 coming back -- that aroma was heavenly! -
They did announce Leon Flint last night. Six to come .....

CHAMPIONSHIP PLANS FOR ’23
crescent girl replied to Gazc's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I saw no rhyme nor reason for the rolling average to be reduced to ten meetings, which allowed imbalances galore. It should be at least twenty matches, or even more. I'd also like to see the original match scoring, where the home team got a bonus point if they won by more than six, reinstated. Giving an extra point to the visitors only isn't a fair shake of the dice. -
Fair bet it won't be Edinburgh. Nice wee chap, but not the best rider l've ever seen around Armadale.......

Absolutely not. Poole is a well-run, successful, speedway club. Probably the envy of some other promotions in all the leagues Sadly, they are blighted by having a very few, but very outspoken, minority of 'fans' who do them a great deal of harm by alienating easily-led contributors on here. Looking forward to tonight's contest, may the best team win!

Careful, Mac. Don't spoil all the petulant ranting. Looking back, it isn't new. 1980 KO Cup Final, Berwick had to race their 'home' leg at Brough Park. The won the Cup. In 1981, they had to do the same, except they lost to Edinburgh (who ran their leg of the Final in November, due to exceptionally-wet weather in late October). This year, like Berwick in '80/81, Leicester cannot stage their home leg of a play-off -- which in 'normal' weather would have taken place weeks ago. So they are staging it at a circuit which is available for hire. Poole will travel a little further, but where the away leg is raced isn't really their business. In conclusion, it is 100% better to have the play-offs completed than any alternative. Good luck to both sides in what looks like an evenly-balanced match tomorrow.

There will be a little fine-tuning, to take any remaining Newcastle influence from the final tallies. The currently-published 'final' averages will be pretty close to the actual figures, but must be awaited before we can be absolutely certain of every rider's CMA .

Not if its after Oct 31, as season/contracts end then. Leicester will be granted a facility, given what's been allowed in the past when seasons have over-run. As a footnote, even the most rabid BSPL-haters must surely admit that this quite exceptionally-wet October is hardly the fault of the speedway authorities ......

Its no warmer, or drier, in April than it is in October!

Oxford was the most-successful club in Britain this year, bar none. You really think that an expensive team is the key to success?
-
Kyle Bickley and Kieran Douglas will be guesting for Leicester Cubs at Armadale this Friday in what may really be the last-ever meeting there.
-
At the start of 2016, Dan Bewley was very much outclassed in the Championship, but stuck at it (and Edinburgh stuck with him) as he developed through the year. Ace should be given the same chance.
-
Will there be an experienced "speedway professional" on board, to work with BSPL and be a safe pair of hands to prevent the inexperieced owners being ripped apart by the sharks?
-
Plenty of Berwick interest in Farewell To Armadale meeting on Saturday night, with Bomber, Leon and Theo in the field, and Ace Pijper as first reserve. 6.30pm start.....
-
Oh, they'd be offered assistance.... But they'd just never get it. Stay where you are, Tigers!
