  1. Remember Poole’s Jon Gould crashing at Berwick and his bike cleared the fence! Luckily no one standing there. So it’s 30 years since the teams have met.
  2. This is the first meeting in a long time between these two teams. Raking my brains to remember when Berwick rode at Wimborne Road. Was it when Tatum and Blixt were in the team owned by criminal Terry Linden? Or did we meet in an interview league meeting? Either way a long time back. Hopefully the weather will play fair and we will have a capacity crowd (under covid regs) and be treated to a good entertaining meeting. Some of the team have never rode the track in anger but did get some practice in last week. https://www.instagram.com/p/CPla28UAV5X/ Tickets now on sale and selling well. No pre-booked ticket no entry. https://poole-speedway.seatedly.com/events I believe all the Berwick riders have ridden Wimborne Road with Busk-Jackobsen an ex Pirate. Etheridge and Summers in particular know the track. Best opportunity for Berwick to get something before the Pirates get dialled in. Looking forward to it. Thoughts?
  3. I have 2 spare tickets for the Berwick meeting. Cost is £35.70. For the main grandstand. £17 plus 85p handling fees for each ticket. An extra £1 if you want me to pop them in the post. I will take PayPal or bank transfer. This guarantees you get in incase it’s a sell out and no x2’s are available.
  4. Sorry but Jackobsen laid that down to avoid the mistake from Jensen. Freddie just confirmed nowhere to go because Jensen pulled a locker in front of him . Wrong exclusion.
  5. Get ready to buy your tickets for the Berwick meeting.
  6. Who buys dvds today? I don’t think I have purchased a dvd since about 2003. Fans want live streaming with a download facility straight after. Or better still a subscription of say £25ish a month which gives 2 live streams and access to downloadable home matches.
  7. IFollow cost £10 and I can suffer every STFC match throughout the season. In Keague 1 and 2 it’s usually one camera and commentary from BBC Swindon, which works reasonably well but does go out if sync at times. To get around piracy, every buyer uses email plus password to login. The system would have the fans IP address and if someone else logged on with the same user/password, the system boots them off and blocks the password. All very easy. As for geo-blocking, again a vpn would get over it, but the ip wouldn’t be Uk based or not match the credit/debit card information so again the password would be suspended and stream blocked. fans might do it once but once the stream is blocked it won’t be repeated in future meetings. Whatever software the clubs use, this is basic stuff the software should deal with.
  8. Piracy is fairly easy to stop. One IP address per stream. If the stream is shared, then the buyer gets blocked out. Works like this on most live paid for streams.
  9. Wow. Bad prediction! Well done Lublin fully deserved! On paper Leszno so much stronger but Emil and Kolodziej to a lesser degree didn’t come to the party. That race proves my thoughts on Lindsey.
  10. I hope the funds are raised but that doesn’t guarantee success for the poor little mite. Probably 1.2 million to line the business and the rest on treatment.
  11. That’s £1,730,000. A lot of money. One million 730 thousand pounds. Such a shame the donations just line the pockets of ultra rich American surgeons who are in it for the money and there’s less value on the life.
  12. If it’s £12 to stream or £16 to attend, home fans would rather be in the stadium.
  13. Whose the little princess Nina? She has some illness which threatens her young life I guess and they are asking speedway fans to raise funds for treatment. Wish her well.
  14. They can’t devalue the sport by charging a fiver. But £11.95 seems a good fair price. Happy to pay that no question. The price of a cheap meal in Beefeater and something that should be better value and leave a better taste in the mouth. Poole first meeting is going to be streamed even though crowds are allowed inside. The Poole promotion said it would cost them £2000 approx but would be cheaper going forwards. Plenty of Berwick fans buying the stream I should think.
  15. In other words you don’t agree with my regular way of thinking.
