  1. Absolutely. Having now just watched it back in the studio the decision was absolutely corrupt. The Polish ref should never be near a GP again.
  2. Belle Vue don’t have to tap into that market. There are a lot of sports fans who can’t stand football.
  3. For the first time ever, this is going off at 8pm for the England match. Bloody dreadful garbage. Things normally improve about now but it doesn’t look like it will get any better.
  4. Money wise yes. But West Ham have much bigger crowds as do Arsenal. Man City attendances are 5th in premier league. 1 Manchester United 1.424.538 19 74.976 2 Tottenham Hotspur 1.291.103 19 67.953 3 Arsenal FC 1.127.133 19 59.323 4 West Ham United 1.080.808 19 56.885 5 Manchester City 1.022.434 19 53.812 6 Liverpool FC 1.007.931 19 53.049 7 Newcastle United 987.844 19 51.992
  5. Man City are certainly not the second biggest club in the UK. They can’t even fill their stadium for most of their matches. Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Celtic, Newcastle, ManU, Liverpool have bigger attendances. They might be the richest club though. Perhaps the new league format, announced at the up coming agm, will mean clubs can ride on any night they choose, with the caveat that they don’t sign riders unavailable for meetings abroad. Riding on a Friday could well mean no GP rider. And would be unfair in the other team and all fans if a visiting has to ride with riders missing.
  6. We have a premier league football club less than 6 miles from Wimborne Road.
  7. They can’t be £10, if BT are not paying. The promotions lose when BT are in town, so why lose even more?
  8. The crowd at Poole on Wednesday was much much bigger than the crowd at Belle Vue on BT. Last week you said the meeting against Wolves would be the smallest crowd of the season. You were wrong, as crowd was very good.
  9. True Poole fans don’t own threads. But expect a reaction if you come onto a Poole thread and post bile. People would think I would have a screw loose if I went on an Ipswich thread every day posting the same bile Gavan does on Poole threads. And if I did I would expect to be treated the same way Gavan is on Poole threads. He used to faintly disguise his posts but doesn’t even bother to do that now. It’s just vitriol against Middlo, Matt Ford, any Poole rider and Poole fans who stand up to his nonesense.
  10. Pretty poor meeting. Not exciting at all. One team beaten before a wheel had turned.
  11. I must say the crowd on Monday looked abysmal. What are the Belle Vue management doing in advertising locally? The Manchester conurbation is massive so really they should be able to fill the place. I always can never understand why a club in a huge city gets the same size crowd or less than Somerset, for example, with a couple of small towns and flood plains nearby.
  12. I think you will find I don’t respond to Gavans posts 99% of the time.
  13. Agree. that Gavan acts like a bully on here. He follows me around posting personal abuse but I mostly ignore it as it’s clear he has issues. I can’t be bullied myself but others might feel extremely intimidated by his vitriolic posts.
  14. Afraid Gavan has completely lost it. You are calling it dead right Pinny. We laugh louder with every post he makes. He has been completely rumbled by everyone. Thinly disguised posts which have nothing but bile as the undertone.
  15. Trouble is it costs too much to alter a track shape. Tens of thousands of pounds. Hopfully Swindon will have a good new race strip after the new stadium arrives from Wales.
  16. Said the same yesterday. He told everyone on here the picture of his avatar Lilly Savage was him in drag. Was proud of it. Perhaps his ex wife came home early from work and caught him prancing in front of the mirror after raiding her knicker drawer?
  17. Dry with a risk of an afternoon thunderstorm. Dry this evening. From online weather forecasts.
  18. Whilst Somerset have done well this season, the expectation is certainly on them to beat Poole. They are clear favourites to progress to the final and if they don’t make it through it can only be viewed as failure. Expectation should be there from the fans as well as the management and riders. As a Pirates fan I view these two meetings as a chance to make the final. It’s not like when we won all those championships and I expected us to win them. This time I hope we can beat Somerset to make the final but I am not expecting it to happen. Big difference and as a fan of Poole, completely stress free this time around. I am sure Middlo will have the team fired up and they will give their best. Plenty of Poole fans as usual will still make the trip to Somerset on the 17th to cheer on the boys in the hope of turning over the favourites.
  19. It wasn’t a patchup. The whole of the first and second bends were relaid from base upwards.
  20. He’s not interested in Ipswich. Red herring. The reason he doesn’t post in Ipswich threads because he is more interested in Poole. A very weird person with some serious issues.
  21. Unfair. The chosen team never rode a meeting. It was patched up from the start of the season. Kurtz was never meant to be number one.
