  1. The champs are either Somerset or Poole. If they meet in the semi final, the winner of that will win the final.
  2. Kasper just couldn’t get off the starts last night. Chased shadows. Matt could have got Klindt at Lynn tomorrow but decided not to bother, as this meeting is a dead rubber for Poole and it would probably have cost a fee to his Danish club. We are not going to finish top and are in the playoffs so the result is not important to us. It is for Kings Lynn who need the points to finish top. I think the result will be around 50-40. Klindt will be missed as he is on very good form and his gating is the best in the league, bar perhaps Doyle. It was so good last night the ref called it back and he got a warning when in truth it was just a perfect start. Most important tomorrow is for the Poole guys to play around with set ups in case we go there in the playoffs.
  3. No team will pick Poole in the semi. They want to make the final. I believe we are good enough to make the final against any of the other three, and if we do we could easily go on and win it. No real weak links and still have two strong reserves with Worrall and Jakobsen. The team we ride against in the semi will need to be at their best to beat us over two legs.
  4. If a reserve is missing from a meeting the team go with 6 riders and three heats are run with only one rider. R/r is never for reserves.
  5. Of course we are good enough. No team is head and shoulders but if we click together we will win it. I don’t fear any othe team in the playoffs at all.
  6. How the hell did Wolves win that? Should have been a cake walk for Belle Vue. Whoever finishes top will be heading straight to Manchester in the semis first leg.
  7. Poole’s track was not great yesterday either. But there was no “hole”, no sure where that rumour has come from. Yes not much passing though there was more than last night. The Poole track got dusty around heat 8-9 but track watering after heat 10 sorted it. At Blunsdon last night Worrall, a mobile chicane all day, happily sat safely in front of faster riders knowing he wasn’t going to be passed. Morris made no impression when behind. A couple of seasons ago he would have come charging through. The track is completely clapped out with a promotion not willing to spend a penny knowing it would be a total waste of money. Trouble is it will be the same again next year probably.
  8. Guests can be used for reserves as r/r doesn’t work.
  9. Now that Allen is out for the season I guess Gary May will be using horses for courses for the rest of the season.
  10. Just got back from the gating comp. Well done Swindon for gating better. Gates 1 and 3 a massive advantage, so much so that Brennan gated in heat 2 and no matter how the Poole boys tried they couldn’t pass. Harris was doing all he could but went backwards. A few points of minor interest. Morris got it all wrong and binned it in heat 7. No one near him. Ref said all 4 back. Farcical. Batchelor got a roller and the ref let it go. Poor. Absolutely rubbish meeting racing wise. Not sure if the track was purposely set up like that or is the norm. Dire fodder in front of. Decent sized crowd. The good news is that we are in the playoffs regardless of whatever results now happen. Swindon are out, or not likely to make it. I fancy our chances. Stuart Dickson is back next week to do the track, and how the riders want it. I think we can beat any of the three others over 2 legs. As for tonight really so little to say it was such a poor advert for the sport.
  11. Well he just dropped it on his own with no one near him and was allowed back in to win. Shocking call by ref.
  12. Somerset totally gifted a point they didn’t desrve. Absolute howler leaving Worrall in heat 12 when we had Woryna winning races for fun. Couldn’t believe that, as Somerset gain a point. Another big big crowd here today. Poole always in control of the meeting though Kurtz was extremely poor and Worrall so slow, the same as last week. The rest of the Poole team were OK though Klindts through the tapes then a last was poor. Star of the show was Kasper Woyna who only dropped on point to the opposition. Did I say he should have had an extra ride? For Poole. Brady was poor. 5 points from a number one? Josh battled well. Klindt started poorly but improved. Worrall was poor. Did I say he was slow? Harris threw away a point in his first but was solid. Woryna was excellent. Jakobsen was pretty good. For Somerset. Doyle looked unbeatable until heat 15 when outgated by Woyna. He then stopped. Looked like he had knackered himself. Summers had one good ride. Covatti wasn’t very good bar one ride. Holder was poor. Arnio did a good job. N B Jakobsen impressed before running out of steam. Three points to take us back to the top but we are far better than this and to gift Somerset a point was poor.
  13. Lindback rang Ford with belly ache. No chance for Matt to do anything but r/r and we were stuffed before a wheel had turned.
  14. Considering Poole took hundreds to Somerset, it seens Rebels fans havent travelled the other way.
  15. Track is being watered with bowser. Edit beat me to it FB. Spoke to Arnio he has had 1 hour sleep.
  16. Tom Brennan steps in for Smith tonight. No news on Morris guess he rides.
  17. Any news on Morris? Would rather face a full strength team than one weakened.
  18. Just looked at speedway updates and Morris won his last ride then withdrew from the meeting. No mention of any crash. Perhaps it was just down to track conditions?
