If a story is repeated often enough some believe it to be true. The downside is when the rider gets an offer from another club and his real average is revealed, it shows someone has told a few porkies.
-
Think you might have hit the nail smack on the head.
-
So, allegedly Zagar wanted too much, BV allegedly said no, and allegedly a line was invented that his alleged average was too high. Or is that too easy?
-
Gordon. Thanks for clarifying there is and never was a 9 point rule. Sounds like a case of ‘if it’s repeated enough times on the forum it will become fact’. A real shame about the rain coming along at the wrong time. All that time and effort wasted. Hope the 70th dinner tonight is a huge success.
-
Yes its ok because its been sanctioned. Kildemand has never been a gp rider. Just a reserve last year who got rounds through injuries.
-
So you don’t know the rules but you are more than happy to slag off Ford, even though he hasn’t broken any rules, with the move for Kildemand sactioned. really, you don’t help yourself sometimes by jumping in head first slagging off Poole when you are completely wrong.
-
Have to say the improvement in the social media and general news side of the club has improved dramatically. Twitter, facebook, website and now instagram being used to put the message out. Speedway portal also putting out good quality footage on a regular basis.

My post reads clearly enough. Many BV fans were saying before the season started how well Bewley was going to do, then he delivers two rubbish performances. So much for the Bewley hype! But there’s no denying he is a talent. Might be as good as Lambert or King/Nicholls/Harris in a few years. Hope so anyway.

I personally like team suits and don’t understand why we haven’t got them. Its not a financial issue. Certainly riders are easier to identify without suits but believe a team should look like a team in league meetings.
-
They look like all teams looked before team race suits came along.
-
That would be a real shame. Was looking forward to seeing Trick go around one more time.
-
I am not arguing that point. I myself believe all teams should wear race suits.
-
Why would they? Its a 70th anniversary meeting so surely will be re-arranged at a future date.
-
Tonights meeting has been postponed. Just been told by someone at the stadium. Hopefully it can be re-arranged.
-
And they continue to make fools on themselves with their pathetic jealousy. The gift that keeps on giving. Gavan leading the way as usual. And calling me a troll for defending my club against petty hatred. The gift that keeps on giving. Lol!

Looks like tonight could be the first rain off of the season. The band of rain predicted for 9-10 pm is going to arrive early and will be here for the evening and night. A shame for all those many travelling fans who are already well on their way, as well as the riders who have travelled from outside the UK to be here.
-
Can’t afford racesuits? Is that another one of the rumours the anti Poole brigade spew out as truth? Yet the winner of tonights meeting walks away with ten grand. It’s strange he cannot afford team suits yet can give away such a large sum on a whim. Perhaps, just perhaps, he can actually afford team suits but has decided he doesn’t want them this season. But that answer probably won’t fit in with the anti Poole brigade.
-
The only problem here is petty jealousy from the usual anti Poole mob who can’t stand it that Matt Ford is nearly always two steps ahead of his rivals.
-
Dan Bewley - 3, 0, 3, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 3, 0 = 10 from 11 rides. Tell me, are you not disappointed in that? Belle Vue fans have been shouting for weeks how he is going to get a big average etc. Yet Mitchell Davey, who Swindon fans had written off before a wheel had turned, outscored him easily. Having said that there’s doubt in my mind that Bewley is a talent and will come good over the course of the season. As for Swindon’s number one. Only one heat win in 9. Not good enough. Is he KK in disguise? Nick Morris - 2, 2, 2, 1, 2, 1+1, 3 x, 1
-
Its not a case of who is asking. Its a fact that Matt Ford is so far ahead of his rival promoters that they don’t even know the question to ask. No rules have been broken. Nothing to see here. Time to move along and find something else to find about Poole for these saddos to bitch about.
-
Pinny, you are talking to Gavan and Brum. You are going to have to make your point simpler. Here you go. Kildemand WAS NOT a GP rider, just a reserve. He comes in on his official average. End of.
-
Definately harder to win a gp series than a one off world final where a fall or ef could end the favourites chances.

Neilsen was good. A great league rider, when he had pick of gate positions. In his prime on a par with Ivan and Tony, but over a period, nah.
