New directive about to be issued by the bspa. All bikes must be fitted with headlights when riding at Brandon. Sandhu basically sticking two fingers up at Coventry speedway fans and doing all he can in an attempt to stop speedway running in 2017. Taking away the lights, armco. seats and shale is very petty. If protecting his interests is his viewpoint it shows he has no respect for speedway fans. Just an attempt to derail Coventry speedway and Horton. And to think Bees fans were originally hailing Sandhu and Trump as messiahs.

He chased the money. Wolves offered double what Matt Ford was offering him. Seems strange to say Klindt is a great signing but a sign of the times. Most other clubs don't know how to promote and its led us to this, where Klindt is hailed as a great signing. In the words of King Theoden, "How did it come to this......". Having said all this, in the scheme of things its a great signing and he will be eating all those two pointers and weak reserves for breakfast.

Colin Beeney was his name. Had a real beaten up three wheeler Reliant and an old cassette machine where he played the Wurzels full blast, along with old tapes of Swindon meetings, which was before video. Used to go along with another guy who was the raker on the first bend called Dave Stoddart or Stoddard. People should remember him. Long brown hair, tall with glasses. Raked the first and second bend for years. Remember a trip to Ipswich where Swindon got beat 55-23 (Ashby 11 from 5)and on the way back Colin was getting tired, so stopped the reliant in the 3rd lane of the m4 and started doing press ups. Motorways much quieter in those days. Then decided to empty what was left in a couple of airhorns. 20 mins later we got pulled by the old bill asking if it was us making a din and waking up half of Slough. Funny old days.. As for deserting Swindon for Poole it was not as straight as it looked. I left Swindon in 77 to live in Bournemouth, and didn't go to speedway from then until 86, with If I recall one meeting, England v USA at Poole in 83. Started going regularly again in 86 at Poole in the National league, at first as a neutral. Swindon were top flight so it wasn't like I had ditched Swindon for Poole. Didn't go to any away meetings until 90. Then of course Poole moved back up but by then I had been going to Poole longer than Swindon. As I was never going to return to Swindon to live the decision was made. Must say I will always have a soft spot for Swindon but only lived in the town for 9 years where I have lived in Dorset for 39 years. However, for my sins, I am a STFC supporter.

Most important to get the local paper to report what is happening to the stadium. Get the face and name of the perpetrator out there in the press. The stripping is simply spite as the seats and shale, lighting etc have no real intrinsic value but by stripping will make the stadium untenable for the people using it. The local rag need to be bombarded!
-
I remember him. Always having a laugh. Didnt he also work in the carpark?
-
I doubt Horton would want the seats and shales taken away. Clearly the work of one man and we know who that is.
-
Clearly the local press are unaware of what is happening at Brandon. I have emailed the sports editor to imform him of the stripping of the stadium, and suggest many of you on here do the same. Whilst it may not change anything, I doubt Avtar Sandu will want his mugshot on the front page of the newspaper as the person who stopped speedway and stox due to his actions. The newspaper will surely want to cover this story. Sport@coventrytelegraph.net.

Not the case at all. Matt Ford is certainly not known for cheque book spedway. He is known to be a hard negotiator as riders have previously discovered. What he does offer is payment on time, and the rider has a good opportunity to pick up local sponsorship with plenty of companies having links with the club. Plus a Wednesday suits many riders. I know for a fact tat Matt Ford has missed out on signing riders this winter due to being outbid by other clubs. Prime example is a certain dane who has ended at a midlands club with his bruv. (Which I am personally pleased about) Milik also turned Matt down having had a better offer from Sweden. Just because Poole are successful doesn't mean Matt Ford waives the cash. He runs a tight ship and thats the reason there's never been any financial issues under his command. correct. In fact Matt Ford doesn't get involved in cheque book speedway.

I have seen pics posted on here but there seems no way i can do it. If anyone wants me to to email them the pics so they can be put online let me know.

I called at Blunsdon this morning on my way up to Cirencester for an auction to see how the new stadium is coming along. I took some pics but dont seem able to post them here. Well its amazing what I saw. The carpark looked completely different. There were only three cars in it! And there was a white portakabin with Conlon on it. And an old jcb. Errrrrr. And some rubble. Errrrrr. And one bloke in a hard hat. Sitting having a drink from his flask. Looked bored senseless. There was also a stack of metal railings. Nothing going on. Nothing to see. Have to say expected some activity.

So is someone going to busta gut to get Leicester back up and running and sort that track out?
-
Wow. Guess we will be battling to fight off relegation. Lol!

KK has never let Poole down. Never seen him go awol like he did at Swindon for Coventry. I think he will be really happy back here and will show good form. A few on here always bang on about him being flaky at every opportunity but for Poole he has always been red hot. A great signing and counters Doyle at Swindon and Lindgren at Wolves.
-
rumour has it but not yet officially confirmed.
-
They do but looking at the two teams I would fancy our chances over dads army any day. Certainly RH will be almost unbeatable at home. But so will Poole. Well done Matt. Done it again. Most Poole fans should be happy with the 2017 lineup. Roll on March!
-
Looking good again. The points save by using Kk mean we will always have one very good reserve all season to cover for our new lad. KK is a tour de force at Poole. Backed up with Andersen we have a very experienced top two to help the youngsters in the team. Matt throws the gauntlet down again. Can another club put together a lineup to challenge?
-
Sounds the type of language a certain ex commentator with a large chip on shoulder might have used.
-
The team has been out there so you dont have to look far (on this page) to discover the lineup. Just had the sports on bbc tv and Shanes was discussed with a clip of the youngster riding grass track and warming his bikes up at home. Nice coverage.
-
Where on earth did I say he is the best? I said hard to find a better rider on 2 points. Please name riders on 2 points so we can compare..
-
Hard to find a better 2 pointer out there and I wouldn't be suprised if there are a few in the league this year as promotions struggle with the ridiculous points limit. It's all looking very good again and we are certainly going to be there or thereabouts again baring injury.

Swap Klindt for Newman at reserve. Again the benchmark team even with brand new rules/team building averages to work to. Two top riders. A young and very aggresive 3 and 4, Newman at 2 and Kindt at reserve to take 5 rides. Probably end up with the favourites tag as usual. Of course this team is yet to be confirmed.... Very pleased indeed.
-
Must admit I know little of the guy. Think he is based in the south which helps. Didn't he do the rare thing of managing to beat Adam Ellis around Arlington last year? A two pointer he is likely to struggle and will probably only have 3 rides a meeting but it has been said on here on several occassions he is a young lad with potential. Welcome to the club James.
-
Looks a decent enough side and one to challenge for a playoff berth. The top of the team is a bit long in the tooth but they should be hard to beat at home and give us Poole fans a tough meeting at Wimborne Road with their track specialists. Just proves that if a new promotion is on the ball they can sign a decent lineup. Hope they get the crowds through the door.

This "nothing to do in Poole" comes up every year lol! There is exactly the same things to do in Poole as in every other town in the country. Except. We have seven miles of golden sand award winning beaches. The Jurasic coast. A huge tourist industry. Do people go on holiday to Swindon or Kings Lynn? If there is nothing to do in Poole, why on earth do so many people come here on holiday?
