  1. Well, I put Woofy in my pick for next year. I don’t think Kolodzeij gets a spot as a right. He would have to get a pick. Some have said Vaculik is old, stand him down and let a younger rider step up. I think Kolodzeij is 39, two years older than Doyle, and I would think 6/7 year older then. Vaculik.
  2. It for injury this year he would have been in the top six. I think he won his first ever GP when he was younger but didn’t “mature”. He took a 3 year sabbatical away from GP about the same time Emil did. I feel he has the talent to be world champion, just needs to keep away from injury, which is not always easy.
  3. I liked the one of world finals in the 60’s/70’s, even though Wembley was not the best race track and the only “away” world final I saw was 1976, Katowice, went specifically to see PC win it, and he did. Now I can see 10 “world finals” in one year, generally the 15 best riders in the world at that point in time. Going back to a 1 meeting world final would be a backward step IMO.
  4. So one post says Bradford was a 2 bend race track then nothing after, and another post says the only line was hugging the kerb. Yes there seems to be support for Bradford to be a GP track! I don’t understand the logic in that. Seems the only thing in its favour is it’s spectator capacity being better then BVue. Perhaps exciting races doesn’t matter to some supporters, they just like being in a crowd and bored.
  5. But it would seem it wasn’t fixed previously, why not?
  6. My guess for 2023 would be Top 6 from 2022 Nilson, Holder, Fricke. Dudek, Lambert, Woffy Vaculik, Michelson, then select one from from Doyle/Anders Thomsen/Lebedevs series reserves. Thomsen and Lebedevs (assuming either is not in the 15). Rasmus Jensen. Kubera. Woryna so not much change from this year but I don’t see how Dudek, Lambert, Woffy can be overlooked. ………………. apart from Dan and Robert being highly impressive this year, Jack Holder stood out. His points don’t show how well he did, IMO. He was up for mixing with the big names, and can only get better. I know he has qualified by his 3rd GP Challange place, but for next year if only one Aussie could ride in the series, my pick would be Jack.
  7. I don’t believe you were watching just to see a screen showing the final results. Foremost I was watching the racing.
  8. An untidy scrap going on for 3rd place in the championship.
  9. Hey Chunky, first 3 heats and good racing already. Makes a nice change eh?
  10. The link for the GP race card tonight in Torun….... last round. https://www.speedwayservice.at/images/racecards/2022/SGP2022-10.pdf
  11. You are right, and that was the only gp I have had problems. Don’t know why. See what happens tomorrow.
  12. Tried that a couple GPs ago when you couldn't make it. Went to the link but couldn't download anything. Had to make do with no racecard. Is there a GP blank available to print out and i cn stick the riders names in myself.?
  13. Thanks for that. I cannot understand why anyone would want to leave negative comments. I really appreciate what is being done here. Engine noise certainly doesn’t mix within communities, hence all the opposition to speedway tracks. New tracks just don’t get approval anywhere near houses, and what we have all seen at Swindon where a community was virtually built on top of a track…it was easily seen by all that the speedway racing was going to disappear, and it has. These machine give access to younger ones, give them a start to into speedway, at relatively low cost, the power can be increase easily by software on a mobile phone, so gradual increases are available at any time without large cost increases in changing engine. Great for the times we are living in, and I can’t wait to see how it all develops.
  14. For Torun this Friday-Saturday…. What is the weather forecast?
  15. Not too sure about having a GP Challenge the day after the last GP. Very possible either a rider in the 4-12 position in the GP series would either get injured in the GP so they couldn’t ride next day, or they couldn’t be bothered trying in the GP, saving themselves for the next day. Either way not good.
  16. The printed race card that R&R provides shows track at 391 metres, which is 428 yards. Belle Vue was 418 yards and I think Norwich was similar to BV. So it may be one of the biggest currently but not exceptional…which took me by surprise. What is exceptional is its width. Last night thy used whole track width for the 4 starting grids. I have seen that curtailed to a more “standard” width in the past, leaving a large part on te outside unused.
  17. Good to see Mikelson stand on the top step. That win may just have earned him a pick for next years GP’s. The win tonight will add to his GP success before his injury. Well done to Leon. I think a review of the points given in the final needs a review to 4-3-2-1. Why. ? Leon went into this meeting 1 point behind Kolodzeij. He went into the final still one point behind even though Leon won the Last Chance and Kolodzeij was last. So Leon was still the one point behind. If he had come last in the final Leon would still be 1 point behind and Kolodzeij would have been Euro Champ. Surely getting to the final and finishing last is better then not getting to the final so all four finalists deserve an extra point. Tonight, one extra point for Leon would have got him into a face off for the Euro Champ title. Last in a GP final get more than one point more than a semi final loser.
  18. Not a good race meeting. Looking forward to it, but it’s a let down. i don’t think irs the length of the track that takes up tractor grading time, it’s the width. On Sunday for the Golden Helmet It will be 6 riders in a heat, the track is easy wide enough.
  19. To, Brennans riding style is very impressive….he makes it look so easy, which of course it is’nt.
  20. Well done Dan, Tom, and nice to see Cookie still battling.
