Jack Holder And The (lack Of A) 9 Month Ban
SCB replied to SCB's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's mitigation maybe but the rule doesn't say, "can swan off with your clubs permission". So there should still be a punishment and a precedent has been set with his brother. British visas make naff all difference to Polish/Swedish visa and vice-versa. I have no idea where people have got this idea that riders need to ride in the UK for visas on the continent. We don't rule the World or Europe, despite what some people may claim. -
Dangerous Machines Or Dangerous Tracks.

I was saying this to my dad the other day. We have more meeting in this country ban anywhere else but seem to have less injuries. Meanwhile Poland have a lot of injuries for so few meetings. Yet Poland slag off our tracks. -
Chris Holder got a 9 month ban for the following... Someone explain how Jack Holder is not committing the same offence but missing his second Peterborough meeting to ride in Poland?

Not a classic meeting by any means but a few classic heats and a very good meeting. And the result was generally pretty good for the series. A bad one for Magic next time while Woffy, Bart and Emil do well and suddenly you have a 6 man battle for the the title. 6 might be pushing it but 4 or 5 of them. We're really being spoilt in the GPs the last few years imo.

Lindgren Switch From Gtr Back To Gm !
SCB replied to Navigator1900's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Did he blow a bike up at Cardiff? Can he not get any of his other GTRs to work as well as that one? Did he have a "more equal" engine and now it's gone he's less equal? -

I called a plumber last week because I had a leak. He turned up and used a jack hammer to try and tighten a loose nut that was causing a leak. Unfortunately he broke his arm when he lost control of it and is now complaining I didn't provide him with the right problem. I asked why he didnt just use a spanner to fix the job and he told me, "could you do better". Surely if you have a job, you use the right tool for the job. Or are speedway riders too thick for that?! -

If fans don't know he rules how can they know the rules are crap?! -

First was a suspension pending an enquiry. The enquiry determined his guilt and thus a ban. That pretty standard in the U.K. In any work environment. You get a suspension before being sacked. -
You don't win two GP qualifiers if you're not of a good enough standard to win the GP qualifier final and make the GPs. So Cook clearly has "it" but it all seems to have gone wrong since the SWC. I just hope he can pull it all together and have a blinder of a meeting next weekend and qualify for the GP series. C'mon Craig, it's one meeting. You CAN do it!

Good to hear they have the top Hungarians taking part!

Oops, so it would. I missed the list point.

Poole Vs Rye House Thurs 10/8/17
SCB replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Starman likes to tell us that rider all want to ride for Poole. Starman tells us Middlo can get the best out of any rider. Starman can never give examples. I can give one huge, massive example of a rider clearly not wanting to be at Poole and Middlo failing to motivate him. Krzysztof Kasprzak. -

Slowest fan (star man), slowest riders, slow twitter. It's all a bit slow at Poole these days! -
"We need big names", no we don't. Average Joe doesn't know Holder from Newman or some NL junior. However, average Joe will be pissed off having paid £18 to watch a speedway meeting and a bunch of trumped up prima-donnas walk out before the end. The fans want 15 heats of good speedway. Not names demanding all sorts. Let's rip out the cancer and riders like Holder and Batchelor are cancers.

You have something like 60-days from the date of your previous visa ended to get a new one. If you don't then you have to wait 12 months. Holder wot be signing for anyone in the next month for April 2018 so he'll have to wait 12 months. Hence no 2018 season for him.

Chris Holder Banned From British Speedway
SCB replied to cinderfella's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The other riders didn't get into trouble because they didn't miss 2 rides. Speedway fans amaze me. Moan about the rules but don't even know the rules -
Interesting they have used rule 3.2.10.... If my name was Jack Holder I'd be worried they were coming for me next!
-
The Premiership can't deal with the Championship. So no chance they can work to do a deal with Poland
-
How was Charles Wright in heat 15? 4th in the avesges and joint lowest (6th highest) scorer. Rules say top 3 by average or top 3 by score. Anyway, Somerset now 3 points behind Poole in 4th with a meeting in hand.

Was discussing this last night. These days we seem to have a choice between the top guys turning up as and when Poland etc say they can or we can drop them, sign lower standard, more amateur teams and let riders get jobs in addition to their speedway but the compromise is they can miss re-arranged meetings and say 5 other meeting during the season. Or we have squads, maybe the extra riders would be foreign based riders who did the odd meeting as and when it suits both parties. We need to be doing less for the top guys and more for the British (based) riders. We also need a zero tolerance policy on riders missing meetings or Poland, the SEC etc. It shouldn't matter if a facility is used or not.
