Swc Final, Vojens, 31/07/2010
SCB replied to Mateusz's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Rob Lyons tactics were spot on at the time. The issues as I see it, Bomber bottling the joker and Nicholls scoring 5, even, possibly, leaving Stead in rather than using Danny King. -
If it's not an issue it won't matter that it's in the paper will it? For what it worth, it wasn't a good idea to post it in his position, but he has, he (and the Aussies) will get some stick for it. It's all part of the game, we Brits would expect the same back if roles were reversed. Every Brit and Aussie knows we just love to beat each other and see each other fail.

Same here. Not great meetings but certainly acceptable with a few good races thrown in throughout the night.
-
It wasn't just Walasek, didn't 3 teams have "injuries" and bring in the reserve? Personally, I say have a reserve, limit him to 5 rides though. If a team wants to put their number 1 at reserve and use him as and when they see fit, so what, as long as every team can do the same.

Bless her, she's at it again, see/hearing things. You were the only person to say something. Who was the other person? Or is it another mythical person that you've made up but can't give a name to but will use in your big pack of lies arguement? You're a hypocrite, you won't name names of the people who moved away/saw thing/said things but you were happy to name the people who you claim were laughing and cheering a fallen rider. -

No, I heard from someone (but it's not up to me to name them) that she had got to that page, look away and read what she wanted to read. 3 people can confirm this so it's a fact, it's just have happened. -

There you go people, the moral guardian of speedway laughing at the idea that someones relative/friend may have died. Pathetic! -

Firstly, I have no idea what anyone at any point shouted. Secondly, maybe if you answer the earlier question directed at you, you may get an answer. So you don't have to look back, the question was, who was the person from our "posse" that moved away when we cheered. -

Nobody has justified anything How can you justify doing something you didn't do? -

Thats an interesting logic. So now if I can find 2 or 3 related people who think something it's now a fact eh? -

I did NOT cheer, clap or laugh when Rory went down. I did cheer and clap and cheer Tero Arnio (as you were told last night, clearly you don't have the memory to remember who we told you we were cheering for!) every time he rode past us because he was doing us Brits a favour and I'll not be making any apology for that one. I did the same when Hautimaki briefly lead Holder and the same for Kylmakorpi when he had a 2nd behind Rico. I'll admit I have in the past cheered in the heat of the moment when a riders gone down and my team has gained and instantly regretted but I have NEVER laughed at a rider falling off or clapped that a rider is down and I did NOT cheer last night. I've stood with Sandie at Brandon now for 5 or 6 seasons, ask her how many times I've cheered a rider falling. Who was this "someone" that moved away then? And sorry, I meant 2 metres, not 20. -

No. I tend to find that when someone is shouting at me from 20 metres away, I'm capable of shouting back. I don't need to send anyone. I hate to have a conversation with you if it has to be done by proxy/with a middle man -

You need new glasses and/ a hearing aid. We did not cheer as we told you last night. Also, "Heat 10 (Re-Run): Davidsson, Aarnio, Schlein (Excluded), Woffinden (Excluded)." So Aarnio WAS in the race. And we only said we were supporting him when we were told it was pathetic to be cheering because Rory was "last". I'll support who I want to, in the SWC, thats Team GB and anyone who's not a threat to us and taking points off the opposition (so the Finns). My pet hate, probably the thing I dislike more than anything from speedway fans is the tendancy to cheer when riders fall off. And sorry, but who did we "send"? I don't even know of anyone going to see you, let alone actually sending anyone. -

Good meeting, great atmosphere and good company. I'd be happy if all speedway meetings were like that one -

Great, so the rider were paid less in Poland then? Balls. You can and should compare like-for-like. We're being conned tonight, I say that as someone who paid £15 a few weeks back and consider it reasonable qalue compared to meeting sin this country but the SWC should cost the same in all countries. Like-wise you have the congratulate California on even riding int he quaifiers. Some might like calling you an ignorant fool but that'd be disrespectful so we'd not call you that, we'll stick to Wolverine. -
After Bowdens little "my riders are not guesting in the PL" rant earlier in the season, Paul is better off out of it.

F1 doesn't need to promote itself, they had no need to be there. on the othe rhand, speedway needs to promote it's self, were there any speedway bikes at Silverstone?
-
What is it with speedway fans wanting to sit down? (and age thing I guess, the average age is higher than most sports) Go and watch most other sports, even in all seater stadiums and you'll spend most of your time stood.

If you read my post again, you'll see I have no in way put down Mark Loram (or TRick, Lance Armstonrg etc) "A formerly popular or influential person whose popularity or effectiveness has peaked and is now in decline. Typically said of professionals or celebrities whose primary success is behind them." "someone who used to be important; a person whose career has ended. : Marty is just a has-been. There's no future for him." It's NOT a sign is disrepect, it's a generally accepted term. -

Because when Sky are showing the presntation, they want big crowds in the background, not an empty top tier that they would see if they did it the other way around. Frankly, I don't know why speedway ever bothers with intros, it's not like you can see the riders and once the meeting starts the rider have helmets on anyway. -

The home straight, top tier is always empty and every year people claim, "the attendance was down, you only had to look at the top tier of the home straight" -
It's a sporting event, not Eastenders, so I, and many other will jump around while watching. Is it only speedway where people sit down to watch and then moan about those in front of them standing? If you want to sit all night, buy front row tickets, or watch at home on the tele (once Eastenders if over), or accept some people are a litle more passionate than you and like to move around while supporting "thier" riders.
