  1. wtf - belle vue were meant to be getting them sized and made? Given the penalty clause for the builders and the good attendences AND the succesful SWC i thought Belle Vue would be reasonably well off
  2. Isn't half!!!! They had Thursday last year as I recall (?)
  3. OK - 52 -38 I'm being serious - we will easily beat Somerset @home. You tell me where that Somerset team is going to outrace us at Ashfield? 1. Close 2. No Chance 3.No. 4. No 5. No 6. No 7. We'll see
  4. Top of the table clash of the titans, unarguably the most anticipated meeting in any league this season. Glasgow Tigers: 1. Summers 2.Garcia 3. R. Worrall 4. Bach 5.Lawson 6.Lunna 7. Ayres Somerset Rebels: 1. Grajczonek 2. Jorgensen (G) 3.C Wright 4. P Starke 5. Tungate 6. Wilson-Dean 7. Dan Bewley (G) 49-41
  5. Swindon are mental. Who knows. On this basis, and with deep regret, I am unable to make a prediction at this stage.
  6. Pleased to see Morris hammering homee a few points. Wasn't a massive fan at Glasgow but he's had a miserable season so good to see him getting in a score. Hopefully Grjzonic's off the boil now
  7. Amazing that he is performing like this away from home, not once or twice but consistantly.
  8. Newcastle will make the playoffs as you say, but what about Sheffield, Peterborough and Edinburgh.... bit unlikely but Ippo could still get in there.
  9. Same system as this year, anyone good enough stays as #6 or main body. If the reserve is staying at 6 take .5 (or thereabouts) off their average.
  10. Half the time (eg this week) it's cracking weather all week and decides to piss down on a Friday.
  11. Met Bomber when he was at Glasgow and couldn't believe the size of him, small and very lean but very powerful looking upper body - not an ounce of fat on him
  12. Still a strong Somerset side tbh, but what the hell............... 50-40. Mon the Bandits.
  13. The real mark of a top speedway rider is surely that he wears a shirt and tie, knows all the words to the national anthem, doesn't swear and has no piercings or tatoos. Extra kudos for princess Diana / Queen mum tribute on his Kevlars.
  14. To be fair, you could probably pack the entire EL schedule into a week or two. Do it end of March no issues with any other leagues, then playoffs beginning of October. Sorted.
  15. Hoping for meeting abandoned due to foul language, fisticuffs etc, 0-0.Both teams then fined further 3 points for bringing the sport into disrepute. If neither Riss turns up,zilch for Monarchs - otherwise Monarchs take a point
  16. The elements would struggle to attract riders. Look T Morris and cook this season!!! Or davey watt
  17. Lunna is a shoe in for next season. What a racer. Must admit I found it a very entertaining afternoon. Scoreline flatters us slightly as Ipswich looked like taking at least a point up until heat 14. Great atmosphere again.
  18. Well, I'm relying on their commentary as the stream video is duff to say the least, and have to say it works very very well without visuals. Nigel actually DOES tell you what is going on and Kelvin gives the analysis.... I think they are a great pair
  19. I'm sure Ayres wasn't fit, and not sure about the wisdom of returning tomorrow tbh.
  20. Big name meeting, tbh. A must win for us but it won't be easy. Hopefully a good support and a load of Ippo nutters / massif / hardcore. Wahahay
  21. Lol @ Matt attempting to be magnanimous - we all know he's raging. And while it would be good for Speedway to see the league fall into different hands, Poole are still favourites for me. I don't know if Shovlars on the wind up or he's actually another Statman.
  22. Plymouth at full strength, Glasgow have R/R for Rene Bach and Tom Bacon guesting for injured Danny Ayres. Will be following this on updates, hopefully.
