  1. Regardless of the facts, Edinburgh sadly must be deducted Mithchell Daveys points.
  2. I get what people are saying but I still think it's wrong. Look at the no 7's across the league - they were all brought in as arbitary 3 pointers and over half have failed to achieve that average. Ayres is near the top. We have a top heavy team and lucked in with Garcia on a three and even today Danny looked good for at least another point in the heat he had mechanical failure. The defeats that have cost us imo have come from higher up the averages - if and when we reach the playoffs I hope we can continue really hammering teams at home. Eg look at Scunthorpe - Danny rode 0.82 below his average. Lawson, Garcia and Rene dropped around 10 between them. So aagree that Danny can improve but we were never going to be a team that won matches on reserves from the moment the line up was announced. Thought the team did well today and especially Rene who I thought was terrific.
  3. Cracking meeting. There was a lot of passing and very close races particularly in the first half. Very typical Glasgow this year, and what you'd expect from a top heavy side.
  4. This meeting is freaking me out. Going for a lie down before the action.
  5. If you can't make any restaging, you are entiltled by law to get a refund.... that's my understanding(?)
  6. Ford's attitude sucks, as ever. Which is probably why Poole fans are glad to have him onside. I can understand that.
  7. It looks like the SCB has been poor here, along with Matt Ford (to believe Steve S then to a lesser degree), but the SCB primarily. The ameteurish way it again shows the sport . This is Poole Pirates ffs... along with Belle Vue the most famous British speedway club in the world. Imagine you were taking someone and telling them this was the elite league campions defending their title..... GP riders, big crowd, sponsored by Sky and all the rest of it and you have to watch races with three riders. What a terrible ad for the sport. Thank F**** this didn't happen when it was on TV. An English 3rd division team would be laughed off the park for turning up with ten players. I know everyones circumstances are different, but club should come first when it's at this level although it looks like Ellis has probably signed something and then been forced to ride contractually.
  8. I dunno... accuweather seems slightly more positive. I will make a score prediction. 42-48
  9. I recall real Glastonbuty legends like The Andrews Sisters, Benny Coogan, Dame Vera Linn and Nat 'King' Cole performing to audiences of well over 2 million when the festival was held at Hackney marshes during the immediate post war years. NONE of these true giants of the stage felt the need to resort to foul language.
  10. If the weather plays ball I'm going.... looking a bit suss at the mo.
  11. What an absolute joke. No meeting for 6 weeks then a 6 man team. Ford and muddlo need to get their act together and stop whining about everyone else. Ford in particular. Phenomenal promoter for Poole but making a mess of it all over this season. Still think they'll finish in top 2 but if I was a Poole fan I'd be expecting a full explanation.
  12. We might need him tbh.... Doolan?--- baws he's elswewhere. A tough meeting for us.
  13. Simpler than thta - average doesn't include bonus and doesn't differentiate between programmed 4 rides and any others - so it;s 11/5*4. Anyway I'mderailing the thread - amazing win for Scunthorpe again.
  14. 10.41 is for four heats - he rode 5. agree with the second point - I am a big Cook fan, would love hime in my team but can a team afford 10 points on one rider (which was the original point I was answering)? I'm not sure at all either way tbh.
  15. Haven't worked that out but I assume it's a win again for PB..,,suppose my point was it's alot of expectation on one rider when they use uch a chunk of the points.
  16. Im a big fan of Craig Cook, but had he rode to his average tonight the score would have been reversed 46-44 at worst
  17. From what I have read I very much get the impression that gaming international have had numerous stadium plans over the years and to my knowledge none(?) have ever actually materialized. There is a long history here of plans being made, agreements being reached, photos in local papers etc etc but as far as I'm aware the result has always just been housing. Whichever way I look at this, I can't see how GI have any record of success with stadium building, but great success at changing land use to residentil and profiting from it. Am I missing something - because I hope I am.
