  1. The crowd wasn't great but don't think it was as pitiful as it looked at first. Never been to Brandon but it always looks huge on the TV. Incredible meeting at times though. Barker's heat 9 was unmissable. At this stage I can't see either of them making the playoffs, but who knows.
  2. Well done Scunthorpe - our away form is terrible atm but they seem to be getting it together so all credit to them. Still a long way to go and I think we'll make the playoffs, but certainly not living the pre season hype!!
  3. I go to the speedway with a number of elderly people, so don't pull that one on me. I'm not in my twenties myself and of course I make critical comments. However, there are a small number of idiots on here who are a waste of time and space - didn't include you in it so no need to have a pop at me. Hopefully it will be then, what exactly did I say that warrants that? Quote it so that I at least know.
  4. Tbh I'm sick of the duffers in here who never go to speedway moaning like usual. I hope all riders take a leaf out of this book and finally get you to throw in the towel and leave speedway to people who actually enjoy it. It's tragic chat you sad sad old men. You contribute nothing.
  5. ...but proven guilty of drink driving. ...but proven guilty of drink driving.
  6. Great meeting. Big crowd. Missed the swearing but some people must have a sheltered life. Honest to God, show respect for the national anthem, dont swear.... Why not ressurect thora hird and make her world speedway champion. First time been to Cardiff and it's mental. King did great just shame about his slow start. Very very impressive event in the flesh. Some great races and Hancock in tigers gear😄
  7. He's good... but not that good. And walking backwards at the moment.
  8. We need to pick up away points if we expect to be finishing near the top... on paper this is is an opportunity. No direspect whatsoever to Scunthorpe who will be confident after their rout of Ipswich.
  9. Listened to it on that BBC link. It was ooo aarr to me tbh, maybe the commentators were buffing it up
  10. That kind of attitude will get you nowhere on here. Surely they had their sandwiches confiscated or car broken into at some point??
  11. Sky aren't repeating this so I'll have to wait for youtube..... sounds worth it though.
  12. Contraversial but I'm actually looking forward to this.
  13. Crowd will be down due to historic Wales match tonight. Still expect plenty of comments along the lines of 'Speedway is finished in Britain... a disgrace', 'National Stadium? I told you it should have been Ipswich', 'Belle Vue bubble burst', 'Matt wouldn't let that happen', 'haven't been in years no wonder... during the war...' etc etc etc
  14. The thing is, sensible Poole fans realise a healthy Belle Vue challenging are an assett to the league and to Poole. I get the feeling some people would be happy to win the league every year against a bunch of part timers on the brink of bankrupcy. The more forward thinking, professional clubs the better.
  15. Belle Vue are to be congratulated, let's see if it works. Glasgow have a meet n greet in the bar with all the riders at every home meeting. People seem to like it. Plus it's a Friday night and it's Mark Lemon, as opposed to A lemon, doing the talking. So good luck to them.
  16. Well maybe it'll work at Belle Vue and they won't scrape it.
  17. Obv we are not like football where each league finds it's natural level. The EL is a concept, not the pinnacle. EG were C oventry to drop down to the PL with the exact same team (impossible, but just say) they culdn't win it. But the point is that you have the likes of Bomber, KK,C Holder, Zagar etc... That seems fair enough to me, I'm glad to see these guys in British speedway. Squads is to me a good idea but not 10 - too much imo. 6 rider EL with squad of 8 would be about right.
  18. I'd give the guy a break but watching him mugging behind a desperately dissapointed Gary Havelock was terrible. After his team were pumped and clearly not giving a damn. Poole at Belle Vue is a very interesting fixture given the track. I think a few of the Poole team will look forward to that.
