  1. They were literally putting the two minutes on as soon as the race ended with the riders getting straight out on track what more do you want? paramedic is always given time to ensure a rider is ok following an accident, as soon as the paramedic gave the ref the thumbs up following wodylo’s crash the two mins were on what more do you want? you can bang on about starting the racing at 215 all you want, but that’s not the racing start time 230 is.
  2. Exactly they know what time it starts which was 1415, the start of the meeting is the parade with the first race 15 minutes later. Pretty straight forward really.
  3. Still people queuing to get in at 1415. The meeting start time at Foxhall is the parade with the first being 15 minutes after, has been forever, if you started earlier without notice in advance lots of regular later arrivers would be pretty peeved missing the first couple of heats.
  4. Tbf the metoffice has now changed to more resemble the bbc forecast too
  5. Shouldn’t think it would too much, parade is fairly localised to the town centre so don’t come through the town, take the bypass over the Orwell bridge round to the Foxhall road and I’d think will be fine.
  6. I wouldn’t completely write palm toft off, he was annoyingly good on a slick daytime track a couple of years ago riding for pboro, finding grip the home riders chasing the fence couldn’t
  7. If you’re good enough you’re old enough, he’s surpassed many older more experienced riders already
  8. He beat Jason Doyle the other day at Foxhall - was ecstatic after the race, think moments like that are doing him some good
  9. So because it was still drizzle at 1815 that meant it was definitely going to continue long enough to take the track beyond the point of no return does it? The forecast and rainfall radar were indicating it was going to stop any minute and it’s didn’t. They waited until the track was passed the point of no return simples, questioning the professionalism of the Witches as a club within the British speedway ecosystem is comical, one of the best run most professional clubs going. Sometimes the weather goes against you early in the day, sometimes it’s right before the meeting it really is that simple - either way the club can’t control the weather at any point.
  10. Armchair fan that’s a new one for me never been suggested I’m that before! With the forecast for the rain to stop sooner than it did and both teams already trackside I can see why the Ipswich promotion endeavoured to get the meeting on. forecast was incorrect, there was more rain and for longer than expected. given the third and fourth bends were completely flooded last year mid afternoon and they managed to run a decent meeting that evening I’m sure had the rain stopped as was was forecast given an 1hr30 from 1815 to tapes up they could’ve put in the requisite track work to stage the meeting. rain didn’t stop meeting got called, one of those things that can’t be helped sometimes
  11. The thing with passing is people do also sometimes have to accept that the quickest riders are also the better gaters
  12. Not understanding the affect of water falling from the sky is a new low even for this forum
  13. Ipswich are a very professionally run club are you suggesting Chris Louis would lie?
  14. From the witches website Ipswich line-up with Charles Wright guesting for Jason Doyle. Doyle boarded his flight back to the UK on Monday but due to issues with the plane, all passengers were told to disembark.
  15. My understanding is they are set with the caveat of flexibility if track conditions dictate a need to move it a race or two for safety
  16. Grading timing due to weather and track getting a bit choppy. Riss was comfortably in front of Danny, lots of riders were turning that bit earlier due to how greasy the track was getting and skating across the track somewhat, king just misjudged and wiped him out don’t think he can have any complaints for the decision
  17. Tbh Thursday they prepared the track slicker anticipating the rain that came, bomber never been a gater and a slick track rider has he, last couple seasons he’s been pretty good at Foxhall, his worst season like a lot riders was the one he actually rode for us - probably those couple of years were the worst in his career tho been significantly better again recently. Way back when him and KK won the pairs at Foxhall for Coventry too so he’s had good nights at Foxhall throughout his career
  18. Klindt goes better at Foxhall than riss, weird team change that must be more to it
  19. How’s it looking trackside now? Raining at mine atm
  20. I mean met office has forecast rain on and off throughout today all week and been pretty accurate today
  21. I think technically you’re not supposed to take food/drink in but I’ve never been stopped and told the drink in my coat pocket can’t come in with me…so discretion advised but should get away with it unless you’re trying to smuggle a Christmas hamper hah seats are unreserved as far as I’m aware but I stand rather than use them, hope you enjoy your visit
  22. King was superb, Dan T a very promising start to 2024 Carey on like that he’ll be one of if not the best RS, improvement to come from rew and Ellis, Jenkins solid, Emil missed the start early on but once dialled he was unstoppable. Belle vue ran way too many last places - will struggle on the road if they carry on like rhat
