Don't know what speedway you were watching, but Newcastle were definitely a glamour club with Tom and Joe Owen having a 11 point average and winning by big margins, even though it pains me to say this as a comet's fan. Havvy had about 4 very good seasons with the comets, latter to be team manager for various clubs then making Redcar what it is now. RIP havvy

Watch again it's definitely a 5-1 ð think we got 4 in the 1st 4 heats ð
-
If you want to see a good heat, look on Comets Facebook page and watch Vinnie passing 2 pilots to get a 5-1 ð
-
The clip from the awards on tiggers Facebook, showed footage of bomber racing at ash field in the play off final heat 15 , so the audience and others could see speedway at its best, mind bomber wasn't exactly dressed up

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Neila replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Been various zoom meetings planned this week, was told at the weekend, if things moved forward as expected, a AGM may happen before Xmas, several promoters are not happy with the delays, as potential Xmas season ticket sales won't be available, and are a month or more late approaching potential sponsors, as at the moment they don't know what or how many meetings they are telling sponsors about, (championship) -

A few years ago apparently everything was agreed, off they trot to Tenerife, only for on the 1st day, a team said they did not agree with what was agreed , throwing the meeting into turmoil, after several hours of new discussion, common sense prevailed and original plan was voted on and passed, but since then several people / teams were not trusted -
No begging bowls left BSPL have got them all trying to get a team / new facility to join the premiership ð
-
Netflix rumored to be buying Warner brothers was on ITV news, wonder if discovery is included in the deal and where would speedway fit in ?
-
Surprised no tiggers fans have mentioned that bomber got presented with a major city trophy off the lord mayor of Glasgow at a fancy party over the weekend? or even last night, video posted on tiggers Facebook

Well good news for you, as well as kerr, you've got Bowes to watch, very up and down for us last season, least said about his 2 performance's at Edinburgh the best, yes he scored well for worky's visit, but when he guested for Glasgow? only scored 2 points. Enjoy, I will look forward to your rants ð

Nowt like getting behind your team at an early stage of the closed season ð
-
No doubt you will be on the comets page after 18.00 tonight to see who we sign next ð
-
Why you lot are on every forum page ð well maybe ont premiership ones ð
-
All still officially up in the air, still lots of talking being done, but hoping championship as you were, but it's British speedway and anything could happen ð
-
Inverness a new team to help out the premiership will ride in red and white to try and cause confusion with that other Scottish club ð
-
He was and through the Darcy link, some on here thought he was a shoe in to sign for the pilots (ditto bailey) but Tate (with input from Darcy) decided to go to worky, yes has not come on as much as thought, but a lot of that was due to the bad injury. Susspose pilots have got that other outstanding Aussie Frazer Bowes ð

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
Neila replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You can't say nobody to blame but ourselves. Most on here are just fans who pay their money and watch speedway, some may sponsor in some form. The blame stops at the promoters now and in the past, most just looking after their own self interest. No thought for next year / future years. The ones who have a vision are overruled by the establishment IMO Several promoters are now unhappy about the present stalemate, as they can't sell season tickets for the Xmas market,as they don't know how many meetings they could be potentially riding. Also they are missing out on potential, existing or new sponsors because as above they don't know the set up of the league or how many meetings you are going to run, it's anywhere from 8 to 12/14 home league meetings (championship) -
Was told by another northern promoter today, that they can't sell season tickets until they know the league set up, at the moment it's not confirmed how many teams will be in the league
-
Signing No 3 announced 6 pm on Monday UTC
-
Well that's him no good at wimbored road then,, can't race on a blue groove ðĪŠ
-
Big ð to the comets promotion and commercial team for having a stall at the worky Xmas lights switch on day
-
Good signing, with wishful thinking thought he maybe worky bound
-
Agree as the league strength is diluted, riders scores / average goes up, so the following season riders appear to be stronger/higher average, but the teams are actually weaker, if you get my drift
