Too late to make any changes
-
Too late to sign anyone as more than 75% of fixtures been completed
-
Think the time changed a few weeks ago

-
But he was a one off had a very wealthy family behind him, maybe not the 1st with family backing,

Be careful what you say the pilots fans won't like it, anyway if they are entertained too much it won't be good for their health at their age a bit of excitement may not be good for them 😜😄 -
From a Comets point of view we best hope nicoli klindt is in Poland 😜
-
But if it was a 6pm start and a cloudy day the night skies would be here around 8pm. The comets will be having a Ben fund collection and the meteors also have their final meeting, so if any type of delay the bikes would need lights to finish the meeting

Any reason for a big crowd ? Nothing really to play for , Meeting against local rivals, kids go free or could it be the cooper Rushen effect, after seeing him on normal TV people want to see him live ? Any thoughts

Could be 😄 wasn't many of us at wimbored road the other week mind also wasn't many pilots fans at Northside when you were in town 😜

Actually went to scunny on Friday with the Comets, brilliant meeting great recing comets got beat, but they put the effort in and a very enjoyable meeting. Watched the Plymouth meeting on BSN, comets riders put in the effort couldn't gate all the time, so we got beat, but another enjoyable meeting. Where it appears Poole fans want to win at all costs, then moan when they don't win 😜 -
May have to wait to see who qualifies, and if and how many a possible TV channel may broadcast, but if they do can only see it being the final
-
Maybe by distance but it's the furthest away time wise to travel

Someone from Poole said the crowd was down due to the A31 road closure, so people must travel from further away than Bournemouth, I do know several people travel from the Southampton area, so should we count another 250k people to the running total 😄 -
Looking at an upcoming stocks event at scunny, it's £15 admission, have heard 2000 to 3000 people turn up, so that's £30-45000 plus food and drink profits, drivers pay to enter, the event I looked at seemed to have a maximum of 150 drivers over several classes, guessing at £50 to enter, so that's another £7500 . Not bad probably £40-50k taken in one evening, say 10 events over the year, possibly more, so looking at half a million £s taken in. So lots of possible profit to be made over several years

Tai Woffinden Testimonial

Unfortunately due to the new rules of bringing things into the country from Europe, especially for a one off event, you have to jump through hoops to be able to do this, probably why, so far no very top class foreign riders have been announced. When the riders bring themselves and equipment to the British GP, this is classed as a world event, so it's slightly easier to bring in equipment -
The cost of bus hire / fuel is the main issue. I know Glasgow ran a bus to Workington £40 cost, but if 3 or 4 people share petrol costs in a car it's only around £20 each . I know the supporters club lads did run a mini bus but the costs and new licence rules for self drive put that plan out of reach.. must have been 30-40 comets fans at scunny, a very good effort by all. But the whole crowd looked lower than what we get at Northside

They can't help it , it's them rose tinted glasses they all wear 😄

But the population in say a 10 / 15 mile radius of Poole would probably equate to the population of Cumbria. Then all the money in the Poole surrounding area will mean more and bigger sponsorship. Where worky and say Berwick are in very rural areas so haven't got the big money sponsorships available.
