  1. Think out of the box mate, one rider last season flew to Dublin Saturday evening from Newcastle then onwards to Poland
  2. Finding out he's worky bound 😄
  3. Said it at the time he was announced, think it's all to do with how many followers he has got on various social media platforms, link to monster energy and his appeal now to younger people through his DJ activities, the people who run the GP are hoping these people will buy a ticket to see him riding speedway
  4. How to make a small fortune out of speedway? Start with a large fortune, buy / run a speedway club then if your lucky you end up with a small fortune or less 😃
  5. How many meetings did he miss for the comets to sit in Poland not being in the team ?
  6. But comets run Saturday afternoons or evenings, so still plenty of time to catch an early Sunday morning flight from Liverpool or Leeds Bradford. Jonas has been about a while now and knows how Poland operates, had no issues going from Berwick to Poland last season. The rider that missed several Comets meetings last year lived in Poland and couldn't be arsed to come to worky for meetings
  7. These days what do speedway clubs own if they are for sale. It appears due to rules the clubs don't own any rider assets they are just employed from march to October, most clubs only rent a stadium from a 3rd party. The only asset I can work out is the licence from the BSPL to run speedway, and as it stands unfortunately that won't be worth much the way them in charge are carrying on
  8. Why ? He's made a decision he and his family have owned the company for 77 years, (it said in the press release) , maybe just maybe they want their family/ private times back , yes it's a shock but people with businesses sell up / retire all the time
  9. Looks like a pilots fan is jealous of the possibility of batch returning to the comets 😁
  10. I would have Batch back no problem, imo last year granted he did not score top points but scored a lot of points, but was not a No 1 . This year with a No 1 and batch at No 5 with an average of just below 7 I think he will do a good job for the Comets, plus he appears to like riding for the Comets. Here's to a good 2026 UTC
  11. Don't upset the pilots fans posting something like this 😀
  12. If the one over 8 rule is in place at 8.20 average he will be No 1. And will be a good number 1 home and away
  13. Oh Mr shovlar has woken from his winter slumber and still complaining 🙃 appears he does not like people other than Poole fans being on the pilots forum page 😗 tough it's a public forum so fans of all teams will post comments 😃 I bet he has visited the worky page to see who the comets 1st signing is. Jonas Jeppesen if you have not heard 😃 UTC
  14. Tik Tok Tik Tok soon be 6 o clock 😁
  15. Unfortunately I think Glasgow bound now, was worky bound at one time
  16. Apparently Andrew Bain has/going to be talking on a podcast. 360 speedway is the podcast name, think it's been recorded but to be released on Friday . Maybe worth a listen if you do podcasts and can find it
  17. Yes a generator or 2 powers the existing electrics at the track, but to power lights, if installed, would need another generator, as we all know speedway in general, not only at worky, is not flush with money so how do you factor installing floodlights on top of running speedway costs ?? Also IF floodlights were at the stadium, what would the council elf and safety think of the access being in the dark ?? Not being negative I totally want the comets to succeed, but you can see what they are up against
  18. It's OK buying the floodlights but the infrastructure needs to be in place, at the moment no electricity is near northside arena
  19. It's gonna be the 2018 comets version of klindt the triple winning comets H18TORY 😁
  20. Need more money than I've got to put lights in ðŸĪ” are you gonna help marra 😁
  21. Lots of money no electricity on site, so would need to factor that in,also elf and safety may want lights on the access road, but maybe allowed to run of generations don't know the ins and out of that with it being a safety implication
  22. What a load of cr@p several people from worky made a 400+ miles round trip at their own expense ,to spread the name of worky to all who attended and by all accounts sold a bit of merchandise to help the club funds
  23. BSPL may as well ask Coventry and Swindon as well, they are in same boat as Peterborough, all 3 haven't got a track at the moment
