Ben Cook riding today and scoring 7+2 for leszno. Thought he had been signed out for a 7 day period so wouldn't be racing today?

Berwick v Redcar 21/06/25 Championship
Gambo95 replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Wasn't a good performance from him last night to be fair to Fromafar. Probably passed more times last night than all other matches he's raced at Berwick combined. If he was his usual self then Berwick would have most probably lost. -
Says on updates he's ill. Should now be banned for 7 days like Craig Cook for a non speedway injury.

Berwick ‘buy a brick’ Bandits 2025

Sure last season it was Glasgow, Edinburgh and Workington on BSN. This season it will be Edinburgh, Redcar and Workington. As you say, all local derbies. -

King's Lynn v Ipswich KO Cup SF 1st leg 02/06/25

Why did the Kings Lynn team manager not mention it in the match report quotation he gave then? -
Last year at Glasgow, Berwick had to give a rider (Jason Garrad) 4 races as they had to take Sam Hagon out of heat 14 (Berwick were leading at the time). Maybe he thinks all ref's will go with him to assist. Don't like what kings Lynn have in their report about the Ipswich match (no mention of the shoulder injury). He says we're probably going to need a guest for Ashton. I think everybody can see he's struggling for confidence, it's not good for him and he needs to probably have a reset, but we'll see where we go with that over the next day or so". Would like to think Ipswich would question this also.

Sounds about right. Could run the jubilee trophy at the same time.

If Redcar offered the date and it was reserved for the semi final then award the meeting 75-0 to Redcar. That would make teams race the meetings. Have said all along this is the start of season competition so it should be completed by June at the latest.

Just seen on updates that an ambulance on track for Doyle. Hopefully precautionary
-
Thanks for that. Must be changed as had Emil 9.10 and Jason 9.07 when I seen it.
-
Going by the averages on the British speedway website, Emil will be number 1 in June. Wonder how that will affect guests, rr etc. Dan seems to be above Brady also for Belle Vue (possibly match to change that).

Berwick v Poole Championship 17/05/25 7pm

That is your opinion. I can accept your points as you are not completely dismissing 3 teams like your colleague. -

I thought that was what pirates of Poole was saying when he said "no disrespect to Scunthorpe, Edinburgh and Berwick but we are stronger than them and should beat them". You cannot take any team for granted especially on their own track unless you think you are superstars. I was pointing out that as far as I was concerned Scunthorpe had a better record in the BSN series qualifiers than Poole by winning 2 of the 4 matches whereas Poole won 1 and drew 1 of their 4 matches. If you say we have a good chance of winning then that is completely different to saying we "should beat them". You cannot win every meeting you know. -

No disrespect to Poole but Scunthorpe should be in the BSN series semi final instead of Poole. They at least won 2 of their 4 matches whereas the superstars of Poole won 1 and drew 1. -

Only rider in 13 to not move was kildemand. Cook got a warning after the race but Lawson didn't and kerr who was on a warning wasn't excluded. The motorbikers in the car park would have made a better referee after seeing Lawson jump twice in heat 15 and get away with it. -

Was Emil not at number 3 last year when he got injured? Possibly something about Sheffield that Ipswich put him at number 3? -

Don't think BSN says anything (sure I heard that in a broadcast a couple of years ago) about timing as they don't go to advert breaks. The thing that others have mentioned to me is that people watching at home know the gate choice, changes etc before people who have paid to go to the stadium (doesn't bother me).

Lucky my workmates aren't interested in speedway. Imagine telling them that a win, a draw and two defeats is better than two wins and two defeats.
