Yeh, Stress cannot live here anymore. I touch wood have come out of this op a lot better than some do, ok im still taking it easy, and doing everything by the book. My surgeon is a brilliant surgeon and worth his weight in Gold, but i still have a fair way to go. just have to be careful what i do. I dont even shout Speedway star anymore. People know who i am so i have no need to. But the fans at Poole on a wednesday have been brilliant, always asking after my welbeing. But i like to win, and i hope we start to pick up. We need to.

Yep very true. The knotts were sinominous with the poole set up for years in the 60's and 70's. We still have one wandering the stadium weekly.. Lets also not forget Gordon Pairman, a promoter in his own right and a very good edition to the club. Gordons knowledge is invaluable , and regulary deputises at meetings for Matt. his knowledge of riders and the rule book is very good. He's is always fasinating to listen to.

But i havnt mentioned Killer Shanes or Chris on the thread. After all, it is still about the meeting, so poole fans are really entitled to mention about the team surely ? Yes im not to bad thank you, i saw my consultant and surgeon 2 weeks ago, and they are very happy with my progress. The fluids on the forehead and side of the head is a pain but things could have been a hell of a lot worse. I still get very stressed and paranoid. The tumour was 2 inches round. I still have a way to go yet.

If it wasnt for our dearly departed Pete Ansell we would never have had speedway at poole again..

It doesnt happen overnight, quite right. Magic admitted to me he hated Wolverhampton, but once he won his first race he was away. Its pretty much all in the mind. Kyle Newman mastered it pretty quickly and i was very suprised that Wolves didnt come in for him..

Yep i agree mate. Mike was a very pivital part of the club when he was promoting with Matt. He is still a regular at the stadium on a weds, and sits up stairs in the resturant. I always have a good chat with him, every weds and value his input re riders etc. He used to sit in the grandstand when he was co-promoting and always had time for the staff. He was also a regular on the terraces with the fans at away meetings. Good bloke who has also had his heath issues.

Matts doing it with all the best intentions. His record in the last 19 years speaks for itself , and i have told him, nobody can take that away from him. Ablely assisted by Neil. Matt was a sponsor and fan before becoming a promoter. And i have the greatest respect for him as a person, and a promoter. Along with many many fans not just poole, he and his lovely wife, were great to me while i was in hospital, his words rang in my ears he calls a spade a spade. and im always happy to help him and Neil where i can.

And you mean keep Kildemand as well? Yeh, it could be done, but Im not sure that Kildemand would want a whole season commitment. I sit here and think as well mate, but its nothing to do with speedway believe me.. Trying to keep my mind occupied is the hardest bit.

I dont think Steve is happy for Brady to score 3 points at home. And neither would i think Brady was.. There's nothing wrong with our management. Brady lodges at Neils during the season. And i really dont think Neil is the sort of person who would bombared Bradys with do's and dont's every day.

I think you will find the majority of poole fans reconise the walk on song. Its the clubs 70th aniversary so its been brought back for that. From my point of veiw its uplifting and jolly

I agree, but as Poole Keith said, it is a cost cutting measure and every club will need to save money in some shape or form. There are a hell of a lot of outgoings to run a speedway club and things do not get cheaper. I really dont know where Burntfaceman thinks the club is going to find the money for all these things he mentioned. Sofar as matching Kevlars are concerned really and truely the riders should pay for there's. That will go down well...
