Sorry Rob, but please prove, that the rules are changed to suit Poole. The rules are there for every club, and every club has the same opportunities.

Why should i say that ? Im very happy with the result, and very happy that the meeting went ahead, and im very happy that we have a promoter like Matt ford, who, along with track curators Glyn and Neil, personally busted a gut to make sure this meeting went ahead. And believe me, from what Glyn told me it wasnt a foregone conclusion. I thought the win was very satifactory under the circumtances, and we will only get bettier and so will the track when, we get some consistant dry weather.. James had a bad night and it was right of Neil to replace him. Now after seeing my Neuro surgeon today being driven in a Square wheel hospital trransport Ambulance then going down the stadium i am completely shattered, so i wont be long out of bed. I may have to get up during the night for a toilet break, but im very happy with tonights result, i wont be losing any sleep that i do get.. as the song goes, things can only get better.. Piratepride.

Yep used to enjoy the Goodies. I also like the theme tune.. I also used to like watching Johnny Ball, he was very interesting.

Just to tell everybody Poole and BV fans. The bumper speedway star will be on sale in the club shop tomorrow night. So if you have missed out then go along and grab one. And at the same time im sure all Poole fans will be interested in the goodies in the shop..

As are many others, funny that..The club must be doing something right, we are being talked about.

No rain here this afternoon so far. With the forcast good tomorrow, Glyn will have a fighting chance. Today, i expect there to be puddles on the turns, especially turn 3, that will b delt with, and the track will be sodden but as soon as Glyn can get on the track tomorrow he will start turning it over, and providing the forcast is correct then it should dry out reasonably quickly. We do have a warm breeze, atm, so in the open of the stadium that is going to help although it is still a bit overcast. Fingers crossed.

Hmm, a lot of positives coming out here. And to be honest we are all speedway fans but i would expect you would get the same views from fans that don't use this forum.

Yeh i would agree, the bumper issue should be £3, and the rest of the season £2.90, i think nobody would complain about that for what they are getting.

Ah yeh, but im im talking individual scores not total average. He scored less than more. yeh we will see, but i dont thik Lawson will get 7. just my opinion.

I would be a lot more optimistic if we got a dry afternoon tomorrow, but atm the forcast for Weds is good. Our track does dry out quick once you can get on it, and turn it over, but to start with on Weds that will be Glyns problem, so long as it stays dry weds there is a good chance.

Huh, its been raining all day just outside Poole. We need the forcast for tomorrow to be wrong . We could do with a dry afternoon tomorrow and will need a complete dry day on Weds to give Glyn a chance. All this rain will just sit and go knowhere, there is no wind and its damp air.

Thats ok, we can deal with that..

To be fair, not to many poole fans take what Steve says seriously, but he does make some valid points. Its those that take the bait ! Steves got backache and a dead arm from reeling them in..

Oh come on mate, to be fair Gavan would be suited to a set of visors, blinkers would be a bit to much, he'l pull like a train.. Imo the Ippo team of 1998 was very good, but financially it was there undoing. its come with a cost. crowd wise, they are not Poole. Mental Gymnastics, straight 10's...

BV can only have a rider up to Worralls average which is 6.77. so that really limits there choice as to find a rider who can ride poole as well. So its a posibillity they may go R/R.

I see what your saying, but to do all or maybe the premiership and championship it would come down to cost of producing the magazine and the cost to fans, i think the idea of doing a mid season review could work but it depends, you would have to cover the 3 leagues otherwise there would be moans, and that might not be viable. thats why they produce a bumper edition in March, although it is food for thought. either mid season or at the end of the season. with that seasons stats. But i still say a decent supliment fixed in the star for the British GP is a must, you need to capture the publics imagination and as i said baring a British world cup this is our showpiece event. It is still value, but many people do not have bottomless pits of money, thats why clubs, and perhaps the star need to dangle that carrot. End of the day, it all comes down to cost.

Yep the bumper issue is always good value Sid, i know they do it, but mid season track and team reviews pen pictures and mid season stats would be good, might help the sales and advertise the fact that a certain team will be in the following weeks star. And the British GP edition, but i do wish they would make more of it in the Star, maybe a middle [ fixed ] supliment type thing this is our showpiece event.

I havnt seen one for ages Phil, can barely move out of this house due to this rotten weather.. and the rain off's. I dont know how you could make it more appealing Phil, its very difficult. When you take everything into consideration if you go to a meeting with entry programme travel and eats perhaps its the cost that puts people off ? , but its trying to drag in that wider audience who dont buy the star, even if its 2-3 times a season.
