  1. Steve its clearly been raining in Poole all night and still raining now. Right decision was made.
  2. Steve, according to the forcast for Highbridge they will have rain from 1300 hrs onwards. And poole showers from 1300 to 1400 hrs then persistant rain.
  3. Ok, thanks for your reply Wolfie. Lets have every clubs, premeir for now full admission prices for comparison.
  4. Not unless you have a dry day with a drying wind. And with the forcast as it is its the right call, it wouldnt be very good had Somersets fans travelled down the n was told its off.Glyn did well last week under the circumstances, and as i said, by 3.30 ish that track was very raceable, but then it P'd down and that was that. and continued to rain all evening.
  5. I can believe it. I will have some on Weds, if we are on, but they will be in the club shop. I will be just taking 15 of next weeks or so round and once they have gone i'l go and get a few more, for the time being, thats how i will have to work. I cant carry to much.
  6. No i dont think it is Steve, the forcast is dire, and with the amount of rain we've had and with the forcast as it is its the right call. I would be suprised if Somerset is also on.
  7. Yeh they will be Ray, quite right. Again we have a dam rain off meeting when the bumper issue comes out this week. I hate this British weather.
  8. Perhaps others can put there clubs prices up for 17-18 yr olds? ours doesnt say that. and conssesions are £15, full Adult price is £18. so we can have a comparison...please. Premiership only.
  9. No i wasnt aware of that. is that french drains ? It hopefully will save you some meetings. the idea being the water will drain down to the inside and go down the drains, just over the white lines if thats whats been installed.
  10. Im not sure it will happen Steve. There P&P was cancelled today, and i would expect the track to be sodden, with more rain expected it will not drain and dry out in time no matter what there curator trys to do. They would need a sunny afternoon with a drying wind to have half a chance, and i dont think they will get that. I hope im proved wrong.
  11. Im not sure either meeting will run looking at the forcast.. I would definately check before you set off.
  12. Problem is Steve although it may sound daft, they prepare the dog track all day, and as you know it is sheeted for speedway. Wouldnt give them a whole lot of time to get all the sheets up a try and prepare the Dog track. I think it might be pushing it a bit. Although, if we started sharp say 11.30, i see no reason why not, but finished by 1 pm, hour/half to take up the sheets, start prep approx 3 pm. Hmm, still pushing it me thinks.
  13. Thing is mate, if that track is sodden which i would hazzard a guess it is, they wont be able to do anything of any consequence. Tipical British weather.
  14. Getting the excuses in early then Najjer... No gurrantee either meeting will be on yet..
  15. Im sorry to hear that, it doesnt take to many disatified customers to start a free fall. I do hope you regain your interest soon.
  16. i do know you could dowload an application form for season tickets, but for individual meetings im not sure.. But it might be an idea to enquire on friday if your going and if we are on. I dont know which side you go in but if you go via main grandstand pop in and see Matt, or if you go in glass grandstand side somebody should be there. i will be there and i could ask for you.
  17. Thats right, it suits you to pay on the gate, where's if you had to miss a 2-3 meetings for whatever reason it wouldnt matter to you, but those who feel they will go all season baring mishaps it makes sense to buy a season ticket.
  18. I think its up to the individual and there circumtances Daniel, those that feel they will go all season will buy a season ticket but should they miss a meeting or two then they would come out on the losing side. Those that have to work around work comitments obviously will be better off paying as they go. So it is an individual choice.
  19. Good ride by Fricke although to be fair he should be beating them even off 15 metres.
  20. I agree with most of this, especially the unsatifactory start, no pit gates should be opened. If they are then that said rider/s are put back on 2 minutes.. If they are not at tapes within that fresh 2 minutes they are excluded.
  21. You said facts, clearly they are not, facts, just forum talk. Try again.
  22. Well, like all clubs, savings have to be made somewhere, sadly its par for the course in British speedway. If it saves ANY club and im talking generally from going under then thats what they have to do. The track would have cost a few quid and its been done properly, not bodge it and scarper, so if bibs are the requirement then so beit, the riders still have there sponsors on there own Kevlars.
