  1. Massif away win, I reckon. Shame I can't make it, but I'm up very early the following morning to go to Poland. All the best Rob
  2. Programmed guests are Richie Worrall and Kyle Howarth - Scunny press release will go out tonight. All the best Rob
  3. I would have thought it was the Czechs who have to qualify, since the Danes scored more points of the two fourth-placed teams. There is only one qualifier these days, or have they gone back to two? All the best Rob
  4. Keep up, Lewy old boy, no-one's said anything to the contrary. It was just a huge pity that what was shaping up to be a great contest was ruined by some 'interesting' decisions by the trainee referee. All the best Rob
  5. I'm refrained from commenting on yesterday's refereeing 'display' (I can think of other descriptions) since I realise that I'm a bit biased in such matters... OK very biased! As the above proves, you're also a 'bit' biased... in the opposite direction. I prefer to point people in the direction of the neutrals. Squall is a Sheffield fan, and on Live Updates gives his honest opinions. He called it "pathetic reffing" yesterday. And then we have HT, who always calls it exactly how it is. Fair play to Redcar yesterday, and congratulations on the win. Good luck on your quest to reach the play-offs. All the best Rob
  6. Just looked on Woffinden's twitter and I can't see anything inappropriate. All the best Rob
  7. Being an idiot on social media. He's still up to it now. A ban will be next. All the best Rob
  8. Expected teams for today: Henderson Insurance Scunthorpe Scorpions: 1. Lewis Kerr, 2. Tero Aarnio, 3. Josh Auty, 4. Ryan Douglas, 5. Michael Palm Toft (captain), 6. Carl Wilkinson, 7. Josh Bailey. Redcar Bears: 1. Stuart Robson (guest), 2. Jonas B Andersen, 3. Ben Barker, 4. Ellis Perks, 5. Charles Wright, 6. Coty Garcia, 7. Danny Ayres. British Youth Championship (500cc class): Liam Little, Daniel Gilkes, Charlie Brooks, James Laker, Drew Kemp. British Youth Championship (250cc class): Jordan Palin, Leon Flint, Jason Edwards, Jacob Clayton, Nathan Ablitt, Ryan Morris, Jake Mulford, Dan Thompson, Joe Thompson.
  9. But for the awarded result against the Tigers, Redcar would be +10 and Edinburgh would be fifth. I still strongly disagree with that decision. It sets a very dangerous precedent. It would be ironic if an awarded result to Glasgow put Edinburgh in the top four, come the end of the season. All the best Rob
  10. A losing attitude. Did the Danes go into the 1985 WTC Final without Hans Nielsen, or did they get him back on board and win the thing? Tai is an integral part of the GB team, because you should always pick your strongest team. All the best Rob
  11. Phew, everyone is posting Andrzej Wyglenda now. I was worried when I posted him and no-one else had that I was missing something and he did have a British club somewhere. All the best Rob
  12. 1. Igor Plechanov 2. Jerzy Szczakiel 3. Boris Samorodov 4. Andrzej Wyglenda 5. Rune Holta Some VERY good young Poles about at the moment, but they may end up over here at some point. All the best Rob
  13. Great news - I assume Woffy will be back for that one. All the best Rob
  14. Hi Rob, Cheers - now added to website. Yes, speedway at Scunthorpe is a level above every other track in the UK. Hence the reason I get up there as much as I can (ironically one of the few this year that I've missed is last Sunday). To email the promotion: gailgodfrey@icloud.com Although I will forward your original post to both Rob & Gail, just in case they don't see it on the website. All the best Rob
  15. But surely if the ref excluded Gappmaier (won who the race) rather than David, the most Bandits could have got from the race was still a 3-3? All the best Rob
  16. I'm pretty sure the chap is Jon Bulmer. He's a great guy. Rob, would you mind if I use your post above on our website? Thanks. All the best Rob Peasley (Scunny Press Officer)
  17. Good news - Josh Bailey is back for Scorpions: http://scunthorpescorpions.co/?p=7380 Most of the guests replacements for Josh have struggled, to say the least. All the best Rob
  18. Bruce Penhall was a very wealthy man, after the tragic death of his parents. But it didn't stop him coming over to ride for Cradley Heath to make it to the very top. Penhall had a level of determination that Bast lacked. All the best Rob
  19. Great win for the five men against the seven men. All the best Rob
  20. Don't mind if you beat Halifax in the second half (apologies HT!), but needs to be a Scorpions' win in the first one!! All the best Rob
  21. I think there is an option to run with 250cc riders, if 125/150cc riders are unavailable. To be honest, if all four riders are on the same bikes, it's not a problem is it? Further track time for the riders, which is what it's all about. All the best Rob
  22. All four riders at No 3 and No 4 are 250cc riders. All the best Rob
  23. 1. Bruce Penhall 2. Jack Milne 3. Greg Hancock 4. Sam Ermolenko 5. Dennis Sigalos Bubbling just under: Billy Hamill, Cordy Milne, Wilbur Lamoreaux, Shawn Moran and Lance King. All the best Rob
  24. To clarify, Scunthorpe had a 28-day-facility for both Josh Auty and Josh Bailey. Because Auty wanted to return, Scunny checked whether it was the full 28 days before he could return, and were told he could return after 14 days. But he had stayed retired, the facility would have lasted for 28 days, although Berge would have been signed well within that. All the best Rob
