Good meeting, good racing and plenty of entertainment, best match on sky so far this year. I think the world and his brother would sooner have anyone n the Mic other than York, certainly didn't look a very good crowd, stand looked empty.

PLC group matches count towards GSA, it's only SF and the final matches that don't.

Basically because up until this morning it was still going ahead at 7.30pm, logistics of the MCN event packing up has caused the postponement.

It remains to be seen if this new chairman makes any difference or major changes, nothing exactly earth shattering so far. Not holding my breath.

Crikey I thought my lot were bad last week but this result is dreadful.

Certainly was a good meeting even if the track was somewhat slicker than most would like. Some good racing with both teams going for it and Panthers deservedly coming out on top. Hansen should get a mention for a great guest performance and it was nice to see Grondal, MPT and Lambert all amongst the points.

It's certainly going to be difficult to keep it properly watered, never easy on days like this.

That's an excellent point and upon checking the GSA for both teams he was in both teams starting team declaration for this year. As some others have said it sets a precedent.

The whole British League is a mess Rob, I can even remember a promoter sitting on his track to stop the meeting when he didn't get his own way. And decisions like those announced this morning don't help one little jot.

Set race nights for each league would avoid any problems for double uppers and guests.

Its not hard to see who was the driving force was behind the decision.

What and you think dust clouds in the opening race is ok. I will be honest and say it wasn't the worst meeting I have ever seen at Lakeside or on sky but it was hardly a classic either. The best track award is given by votes from the referees and let's be honest it's probably decided by how good the tea and sandwiches are.
