  1. Apparently it's to open up some of the EL riders to the PL, I wouldn't mind betting this was proposed just so one club could sign a certain Lynn rider, it will interesting to see who he signs for.
  2. Yep and hears another one Workington have announced the signing of Hansen tonight on a PL GSA of 7.70 It appears the EL to PL conversion rate is now 0.40, strange I didn't see that on the AGM statement.
  3. One wonders why if you were so successful your no longer doing the job?
  4. You can see why he was a promoter can't you, bloody clueless the lot of them.
  5. No your not wrong they have fudged it again, but I am not surprised they couldn't organise the proverbial pi$$ up at a brewery. 3 points for a home win. One TR when 10 points behind. Yellow and Black Helmet Cover to return. I really bloody despair at times, they even had the cheek to mention somewhere that they had listened to the supporters, yeah right.
  6. I exchanged PM,s with a current promoter (on here) a couple of weeks ago about the same subject and he questioned whether their was anyone clever enough on the BSPA to actually change something for the good of the sport, his thoughts were that those that have past tried gave up because of some of the long standing opposition and the politics of the organisation. So I ask the question can anyone point me to an idea or suggestion adopted that one of the BSPA MC has initiated that has taken this sport forward and been accepted by many on here as a genuinely good idea.
  7. I think that's exactly how a lot of the fans feel.
  8. Only you have to have been a promoter for 3 years
  9. Would have thought Danny King would have been a front runner for Foxhall in 2015.
  10. Presumably this is the same David Hemsley who flatly refuses to alter the shape and layout of the track despite nearly everyone saying the track is crap. It's called lip service and Hemsley is as bad at it as most on the BSPA, they all sometimes listen but they don't do anything to change it. Another cracking letter in the star this week from Len Silver just highlights the problem.
  11. Not really, only that the fund was now over 24k and still rising.
  12. Your minds not playing tricks I asked the question and as you say Trevor gave a very clear no which was one of his clearer answers because some of them were as you say very vague. He didn't need to phone Bratters as he was at the meeting standing at the back, Trevor never spoke to him all evening.
  13. It's too early to make a decision on these as we don't know what's included or how many matches, until the AGM is concluded that won't be finalised.
  14. Trevor and Ged need big help, unfortunately despite the clues at the meeting neither spoke or seemed interested in pursuing the people who could make a big difference. Unfortunately Trevor was more interested in playing his favourite game - I know something you don't.
  15. Which brings us nicely back to what fans want see, close exciting racing on a well prepared tracks which allows overtaking NOT one line follow the leader motorways. As for the SCB, yet another body controlled by Harkess and CVS as they control the MC, complete waste of time.
  16. Well let's be fair Jim Lynch is only saying what we all know, the EL is broken and badly needs re structuring, personally I think Tony Steele is an excellent choice to do the job. CVS, Harkess and Cook etc haven't got the brains to sort this mess out so why not give someone with a half decent reputation the chance to sort it out for once.
  17. Certainly better than the 9.50 he started on this year.
  18. I must be honest and say my biggest concern is them putting out a poor team next year, I sincerely hope I am wrong.
  19. It will be financial suicide if they put out a naff side in 2015, Wilkinson, are you serious.
  20. ASL existed only on paper, what you believe isn't fact is it. I got the distinct impression they had already made their minds up to run especially when Swales made it clear everything was in place. The turn out was impressive and running Fridays was a good start, no real business plan was forthcoming and some of the answers to questions were vague but a good exchange of views and ideas. It's apparent that the Showground now really want the speedway to be there which is a big plus but they missed a trick by not having a bar on a warm evening. I still stay they need a good commercial manager although they did say they had spoken to someone about the role.
  21. Good idea and Horton,s main business is running a printing firm. It's not hard to see why he has lost a lot of money this year is it.
