  1. Colin Horton didn't go bust in 2008, he sold the club to Rick Frost.
  2. Interestingly enough he has had 2 offers by promotions (not Peterborough) for next year, but bearing in mind his previous experience and the clubs n his blood and the fact he lives on the Show-ground you would have thought it was a no brainer he would have been invited.
  3. BSPA and sense in the same sentence Phil !!! After this years fiasco I would have thought the BSPA would try and ensure the play offs don't run past the end of September.
  4. It wasn't a straight forward decision but Pedersen did hit him and force him wide, if KK had gone straight down it would have been an easier call but he clearly tried to save it but lost it at the end. The trouble that Nicki has is his reputation and past, he is now clearly suffering from it, very few people including referees give him the benefit of the doubt.
  5. I agree it was a good GP, some good racing and some bloody good entertainment. Congratulations to Greg who is a worthy winner, shame Tai didn't get on the rostrum but his last two GP's just were not good enough.
  6. Edinburgh are a very good side and as you say did well putting it together with a lot of riders making significant increases in their averages but you have also been very fortunate with no significant injuries. I think the Monarchs have a good chance of the treble, they should be too strong for anyone over two legs.
  7. Well I wasn't there so cannot comment on his handling on that day but I have attended many many matches when he has and he is certainly one of the best referees in this country and does a pretty good job in the GP,s as well. When you put him alongside some of his colleagues in the UK he is light years ahead of most of them and some of those are truly dreadful and not even approaching inept.
  8. Go on I will say it, why on earth should Jim Lawrence be disciplined over this.
  9. I was amazed to see a team with worst reserves than ours but their top 5 were very good value and they deserved the win. Reasonable match and a fabulous heat 15, but a sad end to a season which started so well. Let's hope we haven't seen the last action at the best track in the country.
  10. 'TC Harrison' Panthers: Richard Lawson (guest), Adam Roynon, Todd Kurtz (guest), Rider replacement for Richard Hall, Ulrich Ostergaard, Max Dilger, Nicki Barrett. Edinburgh: Craig Cook, Justin Sedgmen, Max Fricke, Steve Worrall, Sam Masters, Aaron Fox, Derek Sneddon. According to Panthers web site
  11. I don't think slumming it in the PL is the biggest concern for Panthers supporters. I wouldn't be surprised if Chairman Harkess didn't intervene to ensure Edinburgh kept the second leg. Can only agree, just caused aggravation for the sake of it.
  12. That question has been raised by more than a few Panthers supporters as well although I think it's the final round of the WU21 Final rather than the Czech GH. Latest rumours suggest this fixture is in doubt, probably because of comments raised by the Newcastle promotion in this weeks star, if members of the BSPA were as good as getting along and organising as they are at pathetic getting one over and stuffing other clubs for their own ends this sport wouldn't be in the mess it currently finds itself.
  13. He certainly did that, that must be the first 21 point maximum for a couple of years. He surely should make the top 8 now with the last GP in Torun, certainly don't begrudge him his win yesterday he has had a torrid time in the GP,s recently.
  14. Bottom teir straights were fairly full both sides and the first second corner straight section was pretty full as well, big gaps on the corners and the upper teir was the same. 10 to 15k would be my guess, the row I was in had 6 other supporters and choice of about 70 seats and we had several rows around us just the same, they concentrated the supporters shots on the straights which were mostly full. The top teir wasn't used at all and screened off.
  15. Thanks for that Probably lack of time, as it's generally last minute.
  16. Phil It's clear substitute riders are done different from before when previously it was done with riders from the challenge. Is their a list of substitute riders that's published or do they just pick someone from the home federation.
  17. That explains why I thought MJJ was the only substitute but the FIM regs say 077.3.4 Nominated Substitute riders In case of the absence of one or more riders, the first available Nominated Substitute rider or riders, according to their placing in the official Grand Prix “Nominated Substitute Riders list”, will be elevated for that meeting, and take the place of the relevant missing rider or riders. The riders for the official “Nominated Substitute Riders list” will be nominated by the SGP Commission and the SGP Promoter.
  18. I read somewhere that the lower places are determined by count back if they finish level so your first sentence looks correct. As for 3 substitutes I think they only have 1 now which is Jepsen JENSEN at the moment and will be THJ next year.
  19. Good luck to him, never gives up and a genuine nice bloke to boot.
  20. At the end of the day if Harris scores the points he qualifies by right, good luck to him if he makes it.
  21. I went to a Italian GP at Terenzano a few years ago and it was mentioned that nothing over there starts very early, something to do with how Italians do things and I dare say the heat comes into it as well.
