League Cup Final Sheffield v Kings Lynn
bigcatdiary replied to RS50's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
At least it’s not to far to come for him unless he is on his holidays somewhere as for Pickering, Holder and Sedgmen they surely have all gone home to Oz. And if Leicester don't get their play off final on this weekend I fancy Leicester and Poole will be in the same boat. -
I would have thought it was fairly obvious, the less matches that count the more GSA can be manipulated.
-
And they are here to stay as most if the time they can actually ensure clubs stay in the black and even make a good profit.
-
To be fair Poole just want to win full stop, that is literally all they care about. Fairness, consistency and openness is ok for everyone else as long as Poole win every competition.

No he tripped over a money bag and sprained his ankle

It’s to do with the management structure going forward Theresa

Very little announced on the night but a big announcement coming after the first week of November.

Mildenhall v Leicester Double Header. Sunday 23rd October.

Running R/R for a match is risky even without a no 8, to attempt a double header without one is plainly ridiculous. -
King's Lynn v Belle Vue (SGBPB)
bigcatdiary replied to Mimmo's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Being ultra fair both promotions would have known Lambert wasn’t riding because of the line up website used by officials and Referees etc in the lead up to the meeting., notwithstanding that even out of courtesy BV would have let Lynn know he had twisted his ankle and was injured. (I seriously doubt that anyone on this forum honestly believes this $hyte but hey ho let’s play the game anyway) The fact that Neither club said anything is extremely poor. But let’s be fair Lambert was brought in for one purpose only, to give BV the edge in the Play Offs, he was never going to do anything else and most understood that. However yet another kicking for the supporters who paid to attend, honestly thinking Lambert was riding, wonderful PR yet again. -

Just 3 times, although Postponements restricted 3 more occasions. -
King's Lynn v Belle Vue (SGBPB)

Let’s hope this reported illness doesn’t affect the thousands of supporters intending to go to the match tonight. -
We did enjoy it because we did with the same team from the off, we didn’t bring in ringers and we did it on track, which is where all titles should be decided.

If the rules were clear, easy to understand and followed correctly half of this years changes wouldn’t have happened.

I am afraid it’s commonplace amongst speedway clubs in general, the communication is generally poor to its supporters.

Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
bigcatdiary replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well I am neutral and I thought the final was good viewing (both legs). The track at Owlerton however wasn’t particularly good and the starts were dreadful, why the start line wasn’t ripped I don’t know, gate 3 was a graveyard and 2 wasn’t much better. The Ref got some decisions right but heat 3 was surely all four back every time, not sure what she was thinking to exclude Ellis and looking at the reaction he didn’t either. Heat 11 was in our opinion wrong, Kurtz had lost that one and just dropped it. It’s disappointing that the match was effectively decided on the refs decision in that heat as it looked like it was going all the way. As expected Robert Lambert didn’t find it quite as easy to miss the gate and overtake as he did at the NSS but I still think it’s wrong that he was included in the first place as he is light years better than Fricke. That’s undoubtedly took some of the shine of the final but the Belle Vue fans and Management clearly don’t care as it was always all about winning and nothing else mattered. -

I see Ipswich have re declared Riss back in the side today with Tungate going in the opposite direction.

Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
bigcatdiary replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
In which case it begs the question why the BV match report didn’t say so. Belle Vue made a big thing of Hans Andersens concussion when he crashed in the first leg of last years final, it was even being mentioned before the match finished. -
Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22

Wrights the key to the second leg and if he doesn’t ride I think it’s advantage Sheffield. Its Interesting that despite waiting an age for the Belle Vue press release on the match it doesn’t go into any details of injuries sustained by Wright or Etheridge. -
