That’s the point though isn’t it, in your opinion, as in previous conversations our opinions are different.

Panthers v Stars 25/08/22
bigcatdiary replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When I arrived at the track around 5pm, the track staff were just getting access to it as it had been too wet to do anything with, the surface was bladed off and they all restarted laying a fresh surface with additional new material, once relaid it looked quite good but very grippy, once the riders and management s looked at it, it was all bladed off again, difficult to imagine who requested that. But that left it slick with pretty much nothing left and a trappers paradise, times were good but the racing was complete shyte and didn’t suit anyone on the home side other than Basso who was riding with a shoulder injury. It certainly didn’t suit Bomber and with Andersen and Nicholls on their usual steeds it was very predictable which way this match would go. For the record I still don’t think Lynn will make the Play offs -
No need to panic yet If what I have been told is true the question supporters should be asking is how many of the 22,000 supporters at this years Cardiff GP actually paid for their ticket. £62 for middle tier this year and quotes of £70 for 2023 have left me thinking enough is enough.

Wolves v Sheffield - Monday, 22 August
bigcatdiary replied to Roger Jacobs's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It was entertaining only because it was close, the racing was typical for Monmore with most races decided by the first corner. I thought it was a strange decision for Sheffield to use R/R with this match the only one taking place but to be fair 9+1 was a good return, Masters didn’t look or sound fit enough so like Kelvin I was surprised Adams put him into heat 15. -
Seems odd that Ipswich are abiding by regulations.

He can’t be arsed either. Its becoming apparent even supporters can’t be arsed either, that will be another idea shelved after one year.

Aggregate BP making a return from 2023?
bigcatdiary replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Aggregate points seriously favour the technical tracks. Lets keep it simple 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw And let’s scrap tactical’s as well Just keep Golden heats for aggregate ties -
Well that’s 19 out of 20 Cardiff GP,s I have attended and yesterdays was easily the worst one so far, the track was dreadful, Ole Olsen was an excellent rider and World Champion but if that’s the best he can do track wise then they need to find someone else. This is the bloke who owns and runs Vojens, another crap track that produces little if any racing other than the gate and go variety. The heat inside as Dodger says was uncomfortably throughout and got worse as the second half of the meeting was dragged out after countless tractor grading amid repairs to the bends, it got a bit tedious if I am honest. What saved it from being a complete disaster was a Dan Bewley win, which was warmly appreciated and applauded. The attendance was markedly less that I have seen before and I would say about a third less than recent events in 2018 and 2019, after this borefest I am seriously considering if the expense of Cardiff is really worth it., and judging by the crowd I am clearly not the only one. I spoke to Paul Bellamy early Saturday morning and stated I hoped we had a good GP, unfortunately it wasn’t although I accept the weather wasn’t something the organisers could do much about.

Certainly appears a strange decision to me.

Panthers v Sheffield 15th August
bigcatdiary replied to wealdstone's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Pretty much the same team won the league last year and whupped your asses in the final. -
Well bearing in mind his position at Peterborough and the fact he put last years title winning team together, I think it fair he celebrated after playing a part in the clubs success. I do see that it’s not nice to see other teams officials celebrating especially when you haven’t won anything of note for a quarter of a century.

Panthers v Sheffield 15th August
bigcatdiary replied to wealdstone's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Firstly what do you know about Peterborough finances, clearly nothing so this kind of throwaway comment does little credit to you, it’s not helpful to Peterborough and does not help the image of your own club either. The Showground management postponed the meeting because they wanted to use the Showground for something else, nothing to do with Peterborough Speedway and as tenants we had little or no say, the fact that they have re arranged it promptly for BHD Monday at the end of August shows they clearly were trying to help re arrange it as August meetings at the EOES in recent years have been as rare as rocking horse poo. -
I have known Dale for quite a few years now and he is undoubtedly a Kings Lynn fan first and foremost, he is in a difficult position in helping to run both Lynn and Peterborough and gets a lot of stick because of it, but first and foremost he is a speedway fan and although his loyalties lie with Lynn he does his best for both clubs

UK speedway slowly dying

But they do serve scrag end with healthy portions of guests and rider replacements. -
It was watchable only because it was close throughout, the racing was pretty much gate and go which is consistent for Vojens because it’s a shyte track for proper racing, clearly the rain didn’t help but it did improve later on. I thought Lambert and Bewley did very well all things considered especially after losing Woffinden but like others I seriously question why we went into a final with just two riders, that’s down to the management. I suppose cost comes into it but why did we fly Vatcher in for the SON 2 when we had 2 managers already there. If their were doubts about Woffy then surely Brennan should have stayed or Ellis should have flown in. Interesting that Tatum mentioned it was a good crowd, let’s be honest it was bloody woeful.
