  1. You make a lot of good points, their could be a case for a guest for the missing No 1 rider but the guest for everything else has got completely out of hand again.
  2. Personally I will be attending my home leg anyway as I should think will a lot of supporters from the other Premiership teams attending theirs. I don’t know what the individual events are but I still think it could have been more competitively priced (to start with) this is a new venture for U.K. speedway and could be a lifesaver for the sport.
  3. Not sure if he still does but he did used to live locally
  4. I think they have missed a trick with the streaming, they needed to get everyone on board by knocking it out cheaply the first year and then increasing it when a lot of people are using it.
  5. Heat formula is in this years regulations, which is available to download free on the SCB website
  6. He needs back up, including a TM with a brain, unfortunately he has neither. Batch doesn’t look any better than last year and both Riss and Barker started brilliantly and faded just as quickly, but once Sheffield got the set ups it was game over. Not sure what’s up with Danny this year and what on earth is the Rowe disappearing act all about.
  7. The racing was dire, as it was at Peterborough a couple of weeks ago, but Peterborough does occasionally serve up some excellent racing.
  8. I would have said Painful was a better word
  9. Entertaining match due to it being close but the racing was dire, Sheffield deserved their win and I would have loved to have seen Hawkins face after heat 15. He has undoubtedly got the best smacked arse face look when he loses.
  10. Very amateurish, and the track is super slick, what a surprise
  11. In answer to your first line, does the BSPL ever explain why they make decisions or ignore rules in their own regulations.
  12. Good job, because the way he is riding this year he is going to need one Its interesting that Fricke, back in the UK this year has won another GP
  13. Format is in the 2022 rule book 15 heats plus Semi Final and then Final
  14. It certainly won’t whilst the BSPL board of Directors keep making decisions which circumvent the rules.
  15. 1. 57.6, 2. 57.8, 3. 57.6, 4. 57.9, 5. 58.4, 6. 58.5, 7. 58.3, 8. 58.5, 9. 58.8, 10. 58.7, 11. 58.9, 12. 59.1, 13. 59.3, 14. 59.6, 15. 60.0
  16. This was discussed at the Pre Season Meeting with the riders and management and it was fairly well agreed that the Riders and team manager would like it less grippy on the white line. We basically get three types of track A - Grippy all over but including the inner and white - Fast times and a gaters paradise B - Slicker round the inner and white line and plenty of dirt out wide - Generally good or very good meetings with plenty of overtaking C - A mixture of A & B - Which sometimes produces a decent meeting but doesn’t always. Some of the problem last night was not enough watering in my opinion, but then we had the TV and they want it run to a schedule.
  17. You are preaching to the converted, I said when I started this thread that we shouldn’t have a grippy white line and that’s exactly what we got with super fast times for the first four races and anybody moving off it went backwards and still the track is prepared like this. I have discussed this with riders and management at various times and their were moves to make the inside a bit slicker, this would surely make the racing better as last nights was pretty non existent before the interval, it did improve after the interval but of course the damage was already done. Its just a shame that the people doing the track ( and before anyone says I don’t think Buster is involved in it) are setting it up like last night because as a viewing spectacle the racing was dreadful (gate and go) although I accept the few Belle Vue fans might have liked it. The crowd was poor last night and if we continue in this manner both with track set up and results it will only get worse I agree with Rob Lyon with most of his comments in the match review, Belle Vue were much better out of the starts and they attacked the track, we didn’t and paid the penalty. Our team is virtually the same as last year and they did us proud, I have no problem with Ostergaard having been signed again this year along with the others but at the moment they haven’t clicked and some of them have been poor for the most part.
  18. It’s not an easy job at all, but you are spot on, just stick to reporting on the results and the race itself.
  19. And this sort of fiasco does nothing to tempt away fans into going.
  20. An important match for the Panthers as they look to bounce back from a somewhat disappointing League start. Eurosport are showing this live in what should be a cracking match with the Aces team full of riders who clearly love the Showground circuit. I sincerely hope we get a decent race track Monday that showcases the talent on show and provides entertaining racing rather than the grippy white line surface that just encourages trapping competitions and little else. No team news yet from either team but expected teams are. Peterborough - Michael Palm Toft, Scott Nicholls, Ulrich Ostergaard, Hans Andersen, Chris Harris, Benjamin Basso & Jordan Palin. Belle Vue - Max Fricke, Jye Etheridge, Matej Zagar, Charles Wright, Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn & Tom Brennan.
  21. A friend told me it was available so was just enquiring as I hadn’t seen it posted anywhere.
  22. Was yesterdays match v Peterborough streamed last night does anyone know
  23. No bugger wants to ride with Batchelor I should think
