So it’s still shyte then -
At the moment Iversen is named in the KL team, Kildemand isn’t., until Iversen leaves and Lynn re declare that’s how it will stay. 28 days or otherwise.

Belle Vue are trying to get him in

When have you ever known the BSPL rule book to be clear and precise as to how things work.

Stars v Panthers Thurs 21/04/2022

It was planned to host the final in the last week of April but the rain offs put paid to that -
Stars v Panthers Thurs 21/04/2022

The first 10 heats were pretty much gate and go but the closeness of the match made it entertaining, the later heats were better when we actually saw some overtaking. If we can come with a full team I fancy our chances at most tracks, Basso has been a super reserve so far. -
To be fair it’s not been tested so only the BSPL know fully how it will operate but I was told that no changes are allowed until 25% of league fixtures are completed. The other thing to remember is ALL changes have to be approved by the BSPL. That has proved in the past to be a real bone of contention.

Zager needs a work permit and my understanding is that these are taking longer since Brexit.

My understanding is it’s 25% of league fixtures

Panthers v Stars 18/04/22 5pm
bigcatdiary replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Clearly a track walk is different to actually riding it. Whether the afternoon start and sun made a difference to normal conditions or the track man prepared it that way is open to conjecture but it was totally different to the Ipswich home meeting. Lynn deserved to win as I said earlier. I have known Horley for years and to my knowledge she has never been on the ball, on the retired list would be better. -

Think the difference was the Panthers we’re expecting the track to be the same as it was at home to Ipswich and it was totally different. Their was no outside line. -

The Lynn win was throughly deserved and they were generally quicker out of the starts. The track was prepared superslick again which suited Lynn that coupled with a bad crash for MPT, our best reserve missing the meeting and a referee whose decisions sometimes suggest she should have been retired years ago all came together to make for a perfect storm. Hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly. -
Ipswich v Peterborough LC
bigcatdiary replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He certainly did and it was unnecessary and very aggressive, if Andersen had gone down Doyle would have most likely been excluded. King and MPT had a great race in heat 11 when they were wheel to wheel for two laps but they gave each other room to race. -
Leicester v Newcastle 9/4/22

You make some good points but the best is close and good racing throughout the meeting. Spectators pay to be entertained with real racing not trapping competitions and 4 laps of follow the leader. -
My view on Teams Belle Vue - Reasonable top three and Brennan should improve but the others all have question marks including the manager. Ipswich - A good top two and I think Riss could be better this year but it all depends on Batchelor, best of luck with that one. Kings Lynn - Look better than last year but if and when Iversen goes I see them struggling again unless Kildemand returns. Peterborough - Solid team with the best manager in the League and two up and coming reserves, it would be unwise to write them off again. Sheffield - Look very good on paper with a powerful top five but league titles are not won on paper, commitment of certain riders could be suspect. Wolverhampton - Another solid looking team but will rely on Becker and Douglas to seriously up their games to ensure success.

Indeed, one Div 2 trophy in 24 years, that’s impressive. -
King's Lynn v Ipswich. League Cup 7/4/22

Yep A Premiership Transfer Window opens after 25% of the League fixtures are complete and closes when 75% of League fixtures are complete. This permits changes to the team on 2 occasions, except for proven long term injury. -

I rather think the max of two changes and only after 25% of league fixtures might have a big say in those plans. -

It’s still early days but Thursdays match at Lynn is an important one for the Witches. -
Absolutely nothing to do with the TV this was thought up by one of our geniuses on the BSPL board.
