  1. All will be revealed later I should think, it rather depends on how Rob Lyon views it.
  2. Bacon had too much experience and was too old to be classed as a rising star, Bates was a RS because someone thought he would clean up at reserve for Sheffield.
  3. As others have said Adams was quite happy to start this year with 28 year old Tom Bacon as a rising star, (which like Josh Bates was an utter disgrace) only to see Bacon retire and leaving Wolves with Flint. As with a lot of new ideas the Rising Star plan was in principle a good idea but damaged by poor thought out rules, some of which are not in the public domain. The fact that practically all of them now have effective GSA but these are yet to be published suggests some will take advantage as Rowe did when guesting for Bates at Sheffield recently. They should all have been given assessed averages and had them included in a team building limit as per past seasons. Many people on here wrote the Panthers off at the start of the season but the team with the help of an astute team manager has well exceeded expectations and this has clearly rattled some of the old guard who didn’t see it coming. For the record I still see Wolves as favourites as their team is very good and has a serious home track advantage but this year has caused more than its fair share of interesting results and their could be more to come.
  4. Terrible news, Phil was a lovely man and was a real supporter of speedway in general. Very easy to talk too and an excellent communicator. Condolences to his family and to friends and staff at the star who will really miss his input.
  5. Weather forecast is now quite good for this fixture with Panthers looking to possibly get more than just a draw last time. Both teams have missing riders with the Aces drafting in Ricky Wells for Jye Etheridge and Panthers using RR for Ulrich Ostergaard, it will be interesting to see who copes better. I think it could be close again. TeamsBELLE VUE: Dan Bewley, Richie Worrall, Steve Worrall, Charles Wright, Brady Kurtz, Tom Brennan, Ricky Wells.PETERBOROUGH: Ulrich Ostergaard R/R, Bjarne Pedersen, Michael Palm Toft, Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Jordan Palin, Hans Andersen.
  6. So what have the management said recently, have they updated the supporters at all, Rosco is not exactly a shrinking violet is he.
  7. He takes the pi55 in everyone’s colours, that why he has ridden for nearly everyone
  8. I think Promoters now fully understand that trying to get a fixture on as the weather conspires against them is not the way to go, attendance is always hit as supporters invariably don’t travel, if the weather is iffy. Personally I would much sooner clubs call it off early if the forecast is dreadful and clearly most supporters support this course of action, as you say standing around for hours while track staff attempt to make the track race-able generally didn’t produce anything like a good meeting. The cost saving for an early postponement is generally good as well, Of course their is always someone who doesn’t support this view but thankfully common sense prevails.
  9. They are. For some reason IainB doesn’t understand that.
  10. I do hope the weather forecast isn’t right as IainB will have an eppy fit if it’s rained off.
  11. No Dave, if you look at IainB,s earlier post that was his quote of racing at Leicester
  12. And yet knowing everything he goes to Leicester to watch rubbish speedway.
  13. Panthers entertain the Stars in the B fixture at Alwalton and recent changes to the Lynn team make it interesting. Peterborough are again going rider replacement for Ulrich Ostergaard. I would expect the changes to ensure a few from Lynn make the short journey up the A47. Peterborough: Ulrich Ostergaard R/R, Bjarne Pedersen, Michael Palm Toft, Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Jordan Palin, Hans Andersen. Kings Lynn: Richard Lawson, Ben Barker, Erik Riss, Lewis Kerr, Thomas Jorgensen, Connor Mountain, Kasper Andersen.
  14. Love the KL press release today Moving at this time means Heeps and Wells will be available to other Premiership sides in a reasonable timeframe should they be of interest. Now honestly which Premiership club in their right mind is going to be interested in signing either of these two this year. Heeps has been utterly dreadful since he arrived from Ipswich and Wells hasn’t really cut at reserve either.
  15. Funny how the business commitments only came into play when Poole dropped a division.
  16. I will go with Rob Lyon, he seems to know what he is doing.
  17. Round 4 was much better with some very good racing, nice to see Tai have a good night but he certainly picked the wrong gate for the final. I must be honest and say I prefer the 2 GP weekends, much better value for supporters.
