You mean they gave up the chance to have the NSS as their home track to ride in Poland, cannot imagine why. -

Speedway in the U.K. is run by the ACU/SCB & BSPL, if you want to play the game you really have to be part of it, warts and all. The costs are relevant to what league you are in, the higher the league the more the cost. The BSPL have always dictated things, that’s nothing new is it. -

I think he will be at Peterborough next year if he wants to be, I also think he will be racing again this year as he should be back for our September matches if not some of the later August meetings. Ulrichs very popular, with his team mates, sponsors and most importantly the fans and it’s noticeable he is very fit this year and a fit Ulrich on good equipment is a match for mostly anyone. You don’t put over 3 points on your starting average by fluke or accident. -

No idea on the first part. I wouldn’t disagree with the second part. -

Kurtz form is very inconsistent this year, looked poor in his first 2 at Peterborough on Monday and was absolutely flying in his last 3, on the basis he is the no 1 I would have had him in heat 15 with Bewley. That was a big ask for Richie Worrall, IMO -

Still waiting to read Belle Vue,s take on the match, it’s still not on the website. Mind you it must be hard to find the words after being 6 up with 4 races left and then lose. -
My first visit to Owlerton for a while and it was worth it to see Panthers record a great win in the end and a very welcome 4 points. Their seemed less places to watch from the last time we were there and we ended up on the 3rd/4th bend which was cooler and had a welcoming breeze. I must be honest and thought it was a better racing track than that but the actual racing was pretty dire, most races were pretty much done and dusted by the second bend or back straight on lap one and it was follow the leader after that. Bomber was the only rider who made a decent pass early doors. For Sheffield Ellis was quick, Howarth good value and Morris was ok but the rest were pretty poor and Batchelor looks like his confidence is shot, the reserves were woeful. For Panthers Bomber was excellent and really attacked the track, Andersen and Pedersen both started well but faded and Palm Toft and Nicholls were solid rather than spectacular, nice to see Palin score a few and Ostergaard was excellent after blowing a bike up in his second. I also thought Rob Lyon did a cracking job in getting Panthers home with a full 4 Points. All in all a cracking effort after Monday’s woes at Alwalton.

I think somebody wants to tell the track curator that one. We had tracks like this the other year, the bloody racing was crap then as well. ITS NO GOOD MAKING THE WHITE LINE EXTREMELY GRIPPY, IT JUST TURNS MEETINGS INTO TRAPPING COMPETITIONS

They have in the past but not seen one this year

Will need a work permit for U.K. and equipment, sounds like a lot of aggravation and expense for what exactly. That’s of course assuming he would say yes. -
Not necessarily, he could get a flat rate whatever he scores, it’s not that uncommon.

New declaration from Leicester today with Zaine Kennedy replacing Jake Knight. Leicester look a very tidy team now, it will be interesting to see just how good Kennedy is.
-
I knew he had crashed Theresa I just didn’t know what his injuries were until the Sheffield website did an update this morning. Scooby got it right, maybe I wasn’t specific enough.
-
Latest Lynn news suggests he is taking two weeks out to help his shoulder heal
-
So the Sheffield press release on this fixture is woefully out of date, no update on Holder, what exactly is wrong with him, who is riding at no 7 for the Tigers and now RR for Heeps.

It’s completely frustrating for everyone whom meetings are postponed for the club, it’s riders and supporters, I do have some experience of trying to get race days at the Showground and it’s not as easy as it used to be because of other events on those weeks and health & safety issues which affect whether speedway can run alongside other events, mostly they cannot. The track had clearly taken an excessive amount of rain on Friday and even getting it on having had no more would be have been a major task but the forecast was dreadful and quite rightly and likely to save considerable expense if nothing else the decision to try and run was correctly declined. In years gone by Promotions were not required to pay the full cost of renting the stadium and travel costs for riders and officials including flights etc if matches were postponed late but those days are gone and they now are which clearly comes into the equation. I dare say if you ran Peterborough Speedway things would be different but thankfully you are not and this way no one is unnecessarily inconvenienced other than you.
