  1. So how does the Morris Play Off final ruling fit with the above?
  2. He never has been unfortunately. If the decision when first asked had been No then I doubt it would have surprised anyone and not received any real backlash but having been told via email by the SCB that it was ok and then mid yesterday evening no it wasn’t is ridiculous and it put Peterborough in a then difficult position of trying to get a guest with very little if any notice. No doubt in the not too distant future we will have Cook saying that Lakeside are dissapointed that supporters are seemingly not supporting the Lakeside move to Rye House and the club is losing money hand over fist. It truly beggars belief that the sport in this country continues to shoot itself in the foot at every opportunity, but it can come as no real surprise to anyone as to why it’s in the state it currently finds itself.
  3. Or they could be forced into riding someone even weaker, bearing in mind it’s clearly been difficult getting guests as it is. If it’s a foregone conclusion before it’s raced it will be one man and his dog watching.
  4. These sort of decisions are generally made early to avoid problems on race days, I must be honest and say I thought he would be ineligible but the abandonment theory sounds likely. Has their been a Hammers objection to him riding ? It will be interesting to see how many Peterborough supporters turn up tonight, as it was quite a healthy turn out Sunday.
  5. Don’t hold your breath we have been at these crossroads before.
  6. ‪Just appeared on Facebook ‪LAKESIDE and Peterborough’s Championship Play-Off semi-final second leg will be restaged after consideration by the BSPA and Speedway Control Bureau.‬ ‪It will now take place at Hoddesdon this Wednesday, October 24 at 7.30pm.‬
  7. As others have suggested why cannot this match be rerun sometime this week ( clearly providing the lights are fixed) it’s not ideal but needs must.
  8. To be fair the Hammers were on a different planet tonight and were much quicker out the of the gate on a track which was greasy early doors and was as bald as a badgers bum. If it had got to heat 10 we couldn’t have complained but unfortunately you didn’t and the aggravation you caused at Peterborough the other week after our light failure and delay has really come me back to haunt you. The BSPA Results service states meeting abandoned result does not stand, effectively that means it needs restaging, if you cannot do that you forfeit the tie.
  9. I sympathise but this match was due to be staged first on the 6th October and their doesn’t appear to have been any great urgency to stage it despite time rapidly running out, a point I raised on an earlier thread.
  10. The word being mentioned tonight was Karma, I don’t think anybody expected it to arise quite so quickly. Interesting situation now that the official results state result does not stand. It was being said tonight that Lakeside only now have one more available date, which of course is there for the final should they have made it. This meeting should have been held on the 6th October, the fact that it still hasn’t been decided is down to Lakeside the weather and floodlight failure.
  11. Starting at 8.00 doesn’t help but certain clubs do seem to have regular late finishes.
  12. I don’t think much of some promoters especially when they agree to disregard regulations. Until they learn to work together for the greater good of the sport then it’s doomed, BT deal or not
  13. And it wasn’t within the rules to use Morris, irrespective of whether Chapman, Godfrey and Vatcher agreed to do so.
  14. To be honest that’s probably what should happen with every fixture but the reality is very different I can assure you.
  15. Welcome back at Peterborough anytime as far as I am concerned.
  16. After two rain offs and two weeks to go I am surprised this isn’t planned some time this week as running it next Sunday wipes out yet another week.
  17. What we need is weather reports now, is their anyone near to the track that can give us an update.
  18. Shouldn’t have been testing an engine in an important match.
  19. So let Tony Steele & Jim Lawrence rewrite the relevant sections, this has been offered countless times.
  20. And just to show how consistent the SCB are they have suspended Willie Dishington for making a mistake in the play Off SF between Belle Vue and Lynn when he incorrectly ruled out Steve Worrall for a heat 15 ride, but appear quite happy for an SCB official to allow Morris to ride for Poole when his average rules him out. Its wrong and in my view raises questions on the integrity and honesty of the SCB official allowing it.
