  1. Well the important question is does Damien Bates want PL racing in 2018 because the fact that he controls both clubs involved in the play off relegation non event makes it somewhat easier doesn’t it.
  2. Both fixtures now in the BSPA fixtures for October so just need the club websites updating but thankfully they are now confirmed.
  3. Perfect nick, the track was totally devoid of shale, it was so slick it completely ruined any chance of real racing although we did have a couple of good heats towards the end as Bomber got really dialled in but it was hard for the others especially early on as the track was set up clearly as the Scorpions top 5 wanted it and they were all very quick from the traps from the start. Racing overall was poor and judging by the attendance (about 250) it wasn’t the big turn out expected, as for the track specialist Richie Worrall, we couldn’t decide whether he was just poor because of the track or looking ahead for his team Glasgow, either way is wasn’t good.
  4. Just a shame he didn’t sign the lease then
  5. Problem is the weather forecast for the match day morning is for showers/rain up to 2.00pm, hopefully the forecast will improve. No doubt the Scunthorpe oracle will update everyone.
  6. I was thinking when Bates got injured last night at Glasgow, Sheffield & Leicester could both end using RR for him, try explaining that one to the general public.
  7. Indeed, but we get this every year and we still end up trying to cram everything in at the last minute
  8. Both teams reporting full 1-7s tonight which is a rarity in any league, weather looks ok as well. Good practice ahead of Fridays KOC tie at Scunthorpe
  9. It’s been raised season after season and still it happens every single year. The cup situation was raised a month ago and the QF ties are still not confirmed although the secondary outstanding Championship matches appeared to have been sorted.
  10. To be fair it’s fairly common this year that we have agreed Fixtures home and away knowing we were missing riders, as long as we are not disadvantaged we agreed to them. It’s practically impossible to arrange matches in season with both teams having a full 1-7.
  11. To be fair Holder could make BOTH dates offered by Scunthorpe but by the time we knew for sure Holder was ok (for the 7th July) Scunthorpe had confirmed the 7th July with Newcastle. The delay was over the SWC, we were not sure whether Holder would be the Australian reserve in the SWC. Just out of interest about the time Scunthorpe offered us the 7th July, Redcar offered us the 6th, they were happy to wait for an answer and we did go to Redcar on the 6th without Harris (SWC).
  12. Genuine question - can Newcastle only stage meetings on Sundays
  13. As I explained to you 1. The staging promotion offer their opponents up to 3 dates What part of the above Do you not understand ? If it wasn't for Peterborough constantly reminding Scunthorpe to offer dates we would probably be doing this in October (we still might)
  14. Scunthorpe's leg of this cup tie was rained off on the 4th June, here we are near the end of September and it's still not been staged. Up to three dates have to be supplied by the staging promotion to their opponents and the 22nd September was a Peterborough Home Reserved date which we gave up to get this KOC tie completed. Bearing in mind he isn't governed by red tape, curfews and limited alternative race nights it's surprising this wasn't arranged earlier, isn't it. Bull$hyte
  15. I was told by a match referee this year that a team line up could change up to 1.5 hours prior to the start of the match.
  16. He won't need a postcard he can speak to him in person, cooks been on a different planet for years.
  17. If it transpires to be Leicester v Sheffield and it's distinctly likely it's more of a case of who rides for who.
