Even the most one-eyed optimist (there's a few at Rye House) couldn't argue against that

As far as I'm concerned both riders can sod off back to Australia. British speedway made them, but they've got too big for their boots and surprised they've lost their team places, bitching like spoilt children on social media.... Good riddance.

Rye House V Leicester 2nd August 2017
Shadders replied to JamesM09's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I find it unbelievable that a professional sport can be run this way. Whoever is to blame 4 weeks without a home fixture is just asking for trouble. If I was running the sport I'd try to cram in as many fixtures as possible between April and August, then use the next two months for cup and play off matches. -
It's obvious this isn't the Chris Holder of old. It's pointless to speculate why, only he knows. My guess is it's mental rather then mechanical. Something has clearly changed since Darcy Wards unfortunate accident. If you're not giving 100% it's really time to be thinking about chucking it all in. You're cheating your employers, you're cheating your fans and more importantly you're cheating yourself. Most speedway supporters can forgive a trier, but not many will tolerate one who's clearly going through the motions. He seems to put more effort into his social media posts then he does on the track. A tragic waste of talent.

Rye House V Leicester 2nd August 2017
Shadders replied to JamesM09's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
My bad. Dunno what I was on yesterday. I thought this was an away meeting. I'm changing my prediction to a 10-12 point home win -
I worked with two in my last place. Various managers couldn't do a thing as they knew fine well they'd go straight down the "harassment" road and they just couldn't be bothered with the hassle. One of them cited "ladies problems", when some of us knew fine well she'd been out all weekend on the lash and couldn't be bothered to come in. The other guy had so much time off on compassionate grounds we worked out over the eleven years I worked with him he'd buried his grandmother five times.

Not 100% sure what went on that night at KL, but it's the promoters prerogative to sack a rider. The timing is the real issue, obviously made out of spite and malice, leaving both riders absolutely no options. I have some sympathy for Holder, but the real villain of the piece is Batchelor for faking the injury, then accepting a guest booking the following night. That's idiotic

If the forecast is correct (90% chance of heavy rain from late afternoon onwards) you won't be travelling -
Rye House V Leicester 2nd August 2017

You reckon? I'm not so sure. Leicester look stronger overall. I think we'll do well to grab a point -
Which begs the question, if he's only interested in riding for Edinburgh why he's appeared to have mugged off every side he's signed for since? No wonder he's been released so often

I'm not sure it is. I'm hearing a few have dropped out. Some due to being totally p*ssed off with the BSPA, but the majority due to hearing the rumoured Bandits line up of Doolan, Howe, Gappmaier, Etheridge -
Well I did say most 😂
-
The responsibility lies solely on his shoulders. I wouldn't take any notice of the negative comments. Most supporters would love to have him at reserve. Whether he cuts the mustard we'll just have to wait and see

Bandits V Sheffield 29th July Sgb Championship
Shadders replied to BBSC's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Bandits were murdered out of the starts early doors and on that track there's not many chances to pass. NBJ looked like he'll need a few meetings to get dialled in. Went out wide in his first ride and there was nothing to hold him up. Gapp very poor. What's happened to him? Sheffield look very solid and it was no surprise when they took control after the interval. Sorry Eddie, but I saw no contact on Etheridge. Looked like he was unsettled when Graverson went hard under -
...and risk a migraine headache? Pass
-
Blimey!! Another rule I was unaware of. I'm sure there are plenty more. Looking at the fixtures that's five meetings before the averages change
-
How does that work then? KK's first meeting for us is 2nd August? Don't new averages come into effect on the first of each month?
-
Must admit I'm not a great fan of his. Seems to pick and choose the meetings he'll make an effort in. Saying that, if he racks up the points and improves our woeful away form I'll welcome him with open arms
-
Is it April 1st already?
-
The signing of Kasper would be a mistake. As James mentioned, he has the worst reactions at the gate I've ever seen. You just can't get away with it at this level. The Rye track has been slick for years now, which won't help him either.

Not necessary in this case. I can usually judge a character by reading their output. Sometimes they're just normal everyday people who are bored and want a giggle, but you trawl the forum adding ridiculous comments, provoking arguments all over the place. Nobody likes you, Typical internet troll.

Cardiff 2018 21st July
Shadders replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We were looking directly down the back straight from the second bend. £49 a ticket though which I thought was quite pricy. When the other halfs family used to go they'd insist on lower tier seats as close to the start line as they could get. Rubbish view though -

Booked into a Cardiff city centre hotel as part of the Berwick Bandits Supporters Club booze cruise. No idea of the cost, but knowing them it'll be reasonable, considering.
