  1. Bit cheeky I know and I wouldn't normally do this but we've just moved house and not hooked up to satellite yet. Any links I can watch on an iPhone please?
  2. A few points. Ticket prices are rather high. A seat looking down the back straight costs £49. Can't comment on hotel prices as we were on an organised tour staying 6 miles out from the city centre. The attendance looked down on previous years. Those watching on TV wouldn't have noticed the stand on the tapes side which had significantly fewer spectators than the stand opposite the cameras. Security checks were thorough. A few late comers were complaining, but that's their problem. Should've arrived earlier. The Polish fans are great. Without their presence it would've been pretty flat. As for Craig Cook. Out of his depth in this class I'm afraid. Anyone who had money on Lindback may be interested to learn he was spotted in a chippy at 1am on Saturday morning. Hardly ideal preparation.
  3. That side would bankrupt a small nation, let alone a speedway club. Anyway, it would go against the BMR promotions policy of only signing UK based riders
  4. Just had a vote on the Bandits coach. Missing the pairs and going to check in to our Cardiff hotel won by a decent majority
  5. Cheers. No chance of it being on then. The work needed to get the track anywhere near decent would take too long for the meeting to be concluded by the curfew
  6. Any other time or place and this would've been called off by now and there would be no complaints. Why on earth are they faffing around?
  7. It's where the coach dropped us. No way am I walking around in the rain looking for a real pub
  8. We had the sense to divert to Weston, found a 'spoons and sat here watching the rain hammering down. If it's anything like this at the OTA, then they'll be doing everyone a massive favour and call it off now.
  9. The last thing anyone wants is a delayed meeting. I believe the curfew is 10pm? They need to crack on to get a result. I can't believe anyone wants to stand around in the rain waiting on a decision after paying to get in.
  10. Currently on the Bandit bus somewhere near Bristol. The weather outside is shocking and the forecast is worse. I've absolutely zero interest in this meeting, My team arent involved and I can't stand the pairs format anyway. I can't watch any sport as a neutral and enjoy it. Just do us all a favour and call it off now. More drinking time in Cardiff
  11. Any promoter with an ounce of credibility would be embracing the few fans he hasn't pee'd off and be all over social media and on the Kings Lynn website with a full explanation and photographs of the "flooded" track. As far as I know there has been little or no communication with supporters/paying customers. If he's not familiar with the workings of the internet he should employ someone who is. That would help to diffuse the anger and clarify the situation. What you have now is unacceptable in 2017.
  12. Entirely missing the point. Many people had booked time off of work to attend. Whether clay absorbs a lot of water or not, the forecast on match day was for sunshine with a breeze, ideal drying weather. With a full strength Kings Lynn side available this would've been on. No question
  13. Can't see Rye House getting anything here apart from a bloody good hiding
  14. No chance of any action being taken against Kings Lynn with Chapman as the BSPA chairman. It'll be like turkeys voting for Christmas. No, this'll be quietly brushed under the carpet and no amount of whining on speedway forums is gonna make a blind bit of difference. The Rye House promotion should be kicking up a hell of a stink, but knowing them as I do they'll more than likely just let it go. A previous post had mentioned something I proposed before, Only a referee can call off a meeting in advance after a track inspection. You try telling anyone not involved in speedway that a club can decide whether or not to run a meeting because the track is unfit based on no evidence whatsoever. It's madness!
  15. Both teams agreed to stop after heat 14. Suited each differently. . A moral victory for Berwick, but for Glasgow it guaranteed them 2 points. I wonder if they'd have been happy to continue if they were 2 points down?
  16. KL were bossing the Premier League in the mid to late 2000's, but what a laughing stock they've become... I don't take any pleasure in saying that. I've no idea what's going on behind the scenes there. The lack of response from the club is worrying. Does anybody there give a toss anymore?
  17. Oh please stop this nonsense. If Kings Lynn were anywhere near full strength and this was a meeting of any importance or due to be televised they'd be moving heaven and earth to get the track fit. You're either very naive, or your name is Buster Chapman.
  18. I remember when Kings Lynn were the envy of British speedway. Decent stadium, professionally run and with a cracking side. What the hell happened?
  19. Enjoyed the Kings Lynn rivalry with Rye in the mid to late 2000's. This situation is beyond farcical. Gotta feel for the loyal fans of both clubs who've taken time off and made arrangements to attend. I'd have been one of those had we not moved north. Thank the lord I'm well out of it now. I attended the Bandits v Glasgow meeting on Saturday with the farcical heat 15 nonsense. Speedway rapidly becoming a joke in the UK
  20. Joke club. Award the points to Rye. Speedway in the UK dying on its arse.
  21. In two minds about the Holder situation, but I'm positive Batchelor blatantly took the p*ss last week. To stop future incidents I propose any rider who withdraws mid meeting should not be allowed to race again for a minimum of seven days.
  22. Yeah, I heard that too. Apparently on borrowed equipment. Doolan these days is not the Doolan of old. Obviously winding down and comfortable sitting in second or third for relatively easy points. Why would he wanna take risks at this stage of his career?
  23. For home meetings I'd go with Morley, but he struggles away from Rye, so best to go with horses for courses on the road
