  1. No chance of any action being taken against Kings Lynn with Chapman as the BSPA chairman. It'll be like turkeys voting for Christmas. No, this'll be quietly brushed under the carpet and no amount of whining on speedway forums is gonna make a blind bit of difference. The Rye House promotion should be kicking up a hell of a stink, but knowing them as I do they'll more than likely just let it go. A previous post had mentioned something I proposed before, Only a referee can call off a meeting in advance after a track inspection. You try telling anyone not involved in speedway that a club can decide whether or not to run a meeting because the track is unfit based on no evidence whatsoever. It's madness!
  2. Both teams agreed to stop after heat 14. Suited each differently. . A moral victory for Berwick, but for Glasgow it guaranteed them 2 points. I wonder if they'd have been happy to continue if they were 2 points down?
  3. KL were bossing the Premier League in the mid to late 2000's, but what a laughing stock they've become... I don't take any pleasure in saying that. I've no idea what's going on behind the scenes there. The lack of response from the club is worrying. Does anybody there give a toss anymore?
  4. Oh please stop this nonsense. If Kings Lynn were anywhere near full strength and this was a meeting of any importance or due to be televised they'd be moving heaven and earth to get the track fit. You're either very naive, or your name is Buster Chapman.
  5. I remember when Kings Lynn were the envy of British speedway. Decent stadium, professionally run and with a cracking side. What the hell happened?
  6. Enjoyed the Kings Lynn rivalry with Rye in the mid to late 2000's. This situation is beyond farcical. Gotta feel for the loyal fans of both clubs who've taken time off and made arrangements to attend. I'd have been one of those had we not moved north. Thank the lord I'm well out of it now. I attended the Bandits v Glasgow meeting on Saturday with the farcical heat 15 nonsense. Speedway rapidly becoming a joke in the UK
  7. Joke club. Award the points to Rye. Speedway in the UK dying on its arse.
  8. In two minds about the Holder situation, but I'm positive Batchelor blatantly took the p*ss last week. To stop future incidents I propose any rider who withdraws mid meeting should not be allowed to race again for a minimum of seven days.
  9. Yeah, I heard that too. Apparently on borrowed equipment. Doolan these days is not the Doolan of old. Obviously winding down and comfortable sitting in second or third for relatively easy points. Why would he wanna take risks at this stage of his career?
  10. For home meetings I'd go with Morley, but he struggles away from Rye, so best to go with horses for courses on the road
  11. Barmy to have an interval with dark clouds all around
  12. Not as strange as it feels for me ☹️️ At least I'll be able to proudly wear the Rye House colours at Berwick this evening
  13. Eveythings better in Berwick than it is in Paisley 😉
  14. My first meeting as a fully fledged resident of Berwick, although still and will always be 100% Rocket. Hope the track covers are down
  15. Embarassing night all round for the sport. Can it sink any lower?
  16. Quite agree. As I posted earlier in the thread (lost amongst the childish bickering) that the moderators need to get a grip on this. I've offered my services (lots of spare time on my hands), but have been ignored, probably due to a chequered past as far as this forum goes. I've spoken to many people who avoid the forum now due to all the nonsense.
  17. The lack of moderation on this forum is shocking. Having to wade through pages of bickering and point scoring is rather tedious.
  18. Your preference and you're entitled to your opinion, but as usual just fishing. I've seen some boring meetings at big fast tracks over my 32 years watching speedway. Kings Lynn is a prime example. Can't recall seeing a decent meeting there, but that may be due to my team being so uncompetitive back in the day. Sheffield is another example, but the worst has to be Berwick, especially in the post Peter Waite days after they'd ironed out all the bumps and made it much less frightening to ride. Has there ever been what you'd call a "decent" meeting at Leicester? They had a blank canvas and could've produced a Belle Vue type track.
  19. Still in two minds whether to go or not. Removal men take our furniture and possessions from Hoddesdon Monday morning, before we tidy up, hand the keys over and take the long trip up to the North East corner of England. We could take a detour to Wolverhampton, but that would mean getting back at around 2.30-3am. Heart vs head That's what I'm thinking
  20. 8-10 points, are you serious? Will be close to 20
  21. Always enjoy my visits to the EWR. The only criticism would be the low viewing positions
  22. Updates estimated a crowd of about 300. If anywhere near accurate that's shocking. Can't see them surviving on those sorts of figures. Shame
  23. Shouldn't you be directing that question to Gary Flint?
