  1. There's no guarantee that you'll get them. Yesterday could've been a one off, curiosity. If it was my business I'd want to wait a while to see if crowd levels are sustained. Speedway supporters are a lot more fickle than football fans and at £18 a pop it may put some people going every week
  2. If I know the BMR promotion they'll be taking all that in. Raffle sellers amongst the crowd is something I was banging on about in the Silver era
  3. For a team meeting it is for me too. Easily matches the Ben Fund attendance from a few years back, which was reportedly over 2,000, but that was made up of supporters from many clubs
  4. I met and spoke to a few Rye fans who haven't been for years. I'm sure there were many more. Keeping them coming will be key. Last night was very a positive start.
  5. Lot to do yet, but didn't hear any complaints about the stadium. Parking was a problem, but that's out of the promoters hands.
  6. Don't recall Kennett, Robbo & Watt getting much track time before tonight. Wolves have had 2 meetings this week and should've been sharper.
  7. I saw a guy wandering around in a TNT jacket. Was that him?
  8. Can't blame you for the negativity. The thought of watching David "Magic" Mason poodling around the white line every week would put me on the suicide watch list
  9. Chance of showers in the afternoon, clearing by the evening
  10. Someone told me ex rider Chris Johnson supplied the kevlars for Bomber & Scott. I understand he also provided Berwick with their race suits. Perhaps BMR should've bought British instead of trusting the Polish firm they're using. Six month waiting list I hear
  11. With just a couple of days until our long awaited first meeting in the big boys league I've a few concerns about Saturday. Firstly, Wolves have already had a couple of meetings this week and will be sharper. As far as I know only Rob Branford, Bomber and Scott Nicholls have had any competetive laps, but nothing this past week. Don't think Edward and Davey Watt have had any recently. With gating being especially important at Rye I can see us being left at the starts. Personally, I think it was a mistake not to hold a challenge meeting, but with the ongoing situation at the stadium that would've made it difficult. Secondly, those of us who were at Rye on Wednesday would've been disappointed at the progress on the stadium rebuild. I hope fears aren't realised, but I can see only see a Wolves win.
  12. Only on practice days, not at meetings. That's from the promotion.
  13. 1, 6 & 7 are nailed on. I reckon you have the others spot on
  14. If that was the case, surely they would've stayed in the second division and saved a lot of money?
  15. Not great to be honest The meeting should go ahead as planned
  16. A couple of hundred there. All riders plus George Hunter had a spin. Track slick as usual. Eddie slid off and under the air fence on the second bend, but no damage done. Still no sign of the new kevlars.
  17. Don't panic. Still another 10 days until blast off.
  18. It's free to park at Rye House, but it'll cost you a new tyre, or worst case scenario new suspension
  19. Oh, I can. You wait 5 months for a speedway fix, then moan after one meeting. Pretty sure it's just attention seeking.
  20. Better any kind of meeting rather than go into the league season unprepared.
  21. Just checked and BT infinity is available in Berwick 😃
