Can understand Rusty's reasons for calling it a day with the Comets it must be difficult for him with a young family and a full time job to fulfil all his commitments with Workington. Rusty will be difficult to replace, especially away from home where he has come up with some good scores, eg 10 at Sheffield,10+3 at Glasgow, 8 at Edinburgh,9 at Scunthorpe, 10 at Ipswich. Best wishes for the future Rusty and thanks for all your efforts for Workington Comets.

Kenny Bjerre has had quite a few mechanical failures in the GP's too. Another great GP round.

Holder is just as bad as Nicki if not worse, his actions after getting a rough ride from Pedersen were very aggressive, finally knocking him off after the third attempt................have just been watching the 2010 EL final when Holder knocked Harris off on the first bend and was not excluded.

I predict Workington to be bottom of the league and Plymouth to win the League.

It is possible though and more likely than Ipswich or Somerset.

Looks like a League winning side to me.................. well it worked last year. Some very strong looking sides have been put together so far this year with Ippo, Newport, Somerset and Redcar looking very good.

If you are doing a page count, Glasgow 4,Somerset 7,Redcar 7,Plymouth,Scunthorpe 5, etc, given that the situation with Workington Speedway running in 2012 is still in the balance i cannot see the point in waffle.... Regarding the Peter Kildemand issue it did get rather silly at the end of the season but was probably due to Speedway politics rather than Speedway. Although it is nice to see well constructed sentences, i feel you are insulting peoples inteligence ( )i could if i wanted to spend all my free time correcting grammar and spelling on this forum.

I could have got cheaper train tickets but that included two stops and over 7 hours of travelling.

Train tickets from Carlisle £261.00 Hotel Friday/Saturday £365.00 Hotel Sunday £110.00 (included breakfast and evening meal). Cardiff GP tickets £120.00 Food and drinks 0ver the weekend Somerset meeting on Friday £20.00 (plus programme/drinks) It all added up to over £1k. Ok i could have gone for two nights and not bothered to go to Somerset to save some money......

Still Undecided about whether to go next year, apart from the expense (over £1k for 2 people, 3 nights)it would mean taking 3 days A/L, thats if i can get the time off next year...?

Crying off, Scott Nicholls may have a very valid reason for missing the weekend (personal family reason?)too many people jump on a rider for putting family before the sport.
