  1. Just watching it now from last night, Jim Lawrence is having a shocker, and its obvious that Glasgow have sold their starting gates to the good folk at Warsaw.
  2. Simon`s mechanic has posted on Twitter than Simon has been talking and is in a stable condition.
  3. Best wishes to Simon and David after what sounds a horrible crash, hopefully both will be able to take their place in Sheffield's fixtures very soon.
  4. Quite a meeting at Shielfield tonight, a meeting that Berwick did everything they could to chuck away all the points with engine failure after engine failure, take nothing away from Scunthorpe as they took full advantage and bad had luck of their own with an untimely fall for Wilkinson while leading a crucial Ht14, all credit to the former Bandit for clearing the track when a lesser rider would've got the race stopped. Hugely encouraging performance from Jorgensen who produced his meeting of the season so far, but there would appear to be lots of hours in their respective workshops for Doolan, Vissing, Edberg and in particular Barker who all suffered engine failures. Enjoyed watching young Lunna, Scunthorpe look to have signed a good one there. Enjoyed the meeting tonight, it was nice to see the riders racing on a track that let do just that.
  5. If you mean Jorgensen, he`s doing well, tonight was his best meeting and he is thoroughly enjoying his time at Berwick. Clearly we need to get Barker going, riding injured and/or problems with his bike has hampered his scoring, but he needs to get back to the scores we all know he is capable of. Feel a bit sorry for Crang, virtually wrote off a bike in a crash at Birmingham recently, his low scores are easier to high light when you have other riders in the team not scoring as they should, he does need to start chipping in though as we cant run carrying a rider, hopefully that will happen soon.
  6. Haven't seen anyone asking for a rough, unpredictable track, just a track where both teams can go out and race, not having virtually all racing done and dusted by the exit of bend two lap one. It can be done, the track staff prepared a track where we had excellent meetings last year so it can be done.
  7. Since you replied, and only since you replied, then the referees reports are at odds with the vast majority of Berwick`s regular paying customers.
  8. I`ve thought of nothing else all week, if its posted on here when the comments are favourable then in fairness of balance it should be posted on here each week, you shouldn't pick and choose.
  9. Completely agree, you`d think by now as professional riders our team would have at least learned enough about the Edinburgh track to put up a better show than of late. Edinburgh are a decent team, that's obvious, so I don't expect us to win but it seems our riders are beaten before they start. Maybe we could concede three Premier League points, and save ourselves the embarrassment. Any Berwick who went up there last night deserve a medal.
  10. Berwick to hit 40pts, might take about twenty five heats but we`ll bloody make it by hook or by crook.
  11. Weather set fair for the racing tomorrow night, for the early risers there might be the odd patch of mist around but that will some burn off to leave a bright and dry day.
  12. The PZM has issued the following statement: Nicki Pedersen and Tomas H. Jonasson took part in today’s practice session before the LOTTO Warsaw FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland. The other riders having inspected the race track, provided their feedback guidelines, so the race track upgrade will continue overnight. The jury session took place at 6 pm. The FIM has decided on an optional, closed test session tomorrow at 9am. The LOTTO Warsaw SGP of Poland will launch as scheduled, tomorrow at 7pm. Taken from the Speedway GP site, lets hope they can sort things for tomorrow night.
  13. The club have already announced they have forgotten about the League Cup, hardly likely to attract fans along with that knowledge.
  14. I know it will be on this thread somewhere, but I don't seem to be able to find the referees report from last weeks meeting, I take it was just favourable as in previous weeks.
  15. Berwick have had it tough so far this season, especially running into two top teams in Glasgow and Edinburgh, so with a bit of luck they should find this Scunthorpe team much more manageable and after two home defeats Berwick must get back to winning ways which I think they will. I mentioned this last week in the Edinburgh match thread, it will interesting to see the crowd level, and they are also running against the first SGP.
  16. The organizers of the Grand Prix want to Tomasz Gollob drove in all of this year's tournament. The crucial talks will take place after the event at the National Stadium. - It is shocking, almost incredible offer - says Tomasz Gollob. - For now, however, I want to stand ready to take off in Warsaw, and then we'll discuss. I want to see how I will go to the National - Gollob added. It's hard to tell what decides Gollob. So far, he said that the Grand Prix is a closed chapter and the tournament in Warsaw will be purely farewell. Tom probably did not expect that he will get a serious offer driving cycle. Now you will have to think about. If it is decided to go with the number 16. Taken from espeedway.pl, is this serious.
  17. Giving our record round Armadale Mr Palm Toft will fit in just fine, anyway Berwick have forgotten about the League Cup already.
  18. IMO it just nice to see the Supporters Club get a mention in the clubs news letter.
  19. Obviously I want Berwick to win, but if they don't and I can walk out of Shielfield at the end of the meeting and say I enjoyed the racing and it was worth the money, them I`m happy with that and looking forward to the next meeting, Saturday we got neither a win, enjoyment or value for money.
  20. Apparently its all attention seeking or looking for self importance, in fact some crave so much of it they may not bother going for future meetings.
  21. Very impressive new web site for the Supporters Club, well done to all concerned. http://www.berwickbanditssupportersclub.com/
  22. IMO it would take a weird set of circumstances that would get Bunyan out of NZ and into Berwick, more likely we will see a rider with PL experience coming in to replace the injured Voldrih, who it appears will now be out until next year.
  23. Unfortunately that is true, maybe we cant sustain the amount of clubs we have right now, or at least some clubs might have to drop a level to keep going, we might end up with two leagues, one slightly weaker than the current EL, the other slightly stronger than the current NL.
